so I played this game during beta and thought it was a joke and pretty much never touched it again until recently. Because of the huge sale, I bought it and I have been playing it recently.
I still think it is by far the worst elder scrolls game in the franchise and one of the worst mmo's I have ever played, but I am actually enjoying the hell out of it. Me and my best friend are playing through it together and it's great. It feels kind of like I'm playing oblivion with my friend. I would describe it as a poor man's oblivion. In a lot of ways, they improved it from it's release and since I know I only payed 30 bucks for it, I can laugh at the janky garbage throughout the game. I would not say it's good, but it's fun in the same way watching the movie "THe Room" s fun but with a touch of nostalgia.

The skyshards and the lore books ones are useful. I know some people like the combat UI addon, but I don't really give enough of a shit about the game to take it that seriously. You can actually see the top addons on the nexus and that will give you an idea of what's worth getting.The other addons you'll just gradually start to find yourself. There are 3 ways.
First is by finding rare werewolf spawns and fighting them. Not just any werewolf will do. Only the special spawns will work.
The second and by far the easier, is to ask another player to turn you. Some people sell werewolf bites for gold, but nothing exorbitant. Some give them away for free. A large guild is a good place to ask.
The third is the way of the goy - see crown store for Werewolf Skill Line. But that's overpriced as fuck. Don't buy. Unless you want to.

There are no werewolves than can infect you in Daggerfall. There's one area in each faction that has spawn locations for werewolves and blood fiends. In EP it's Riften, AD Reaper's March, DC Bangkorai. They can spawn around midnight game time. Werewolf spawns are most likely during in-game full moon and blood fiends during in-game new moon.
You want to get the Destinations addon for the spawn locations and Clock - Tamriel Standard Time for seeing time until next full-moon or new moon.

The combat is the same as during the beta so if that's not your cut of tea then it's not something for you. No cooldowns (except "ultimates" that technically have no cool-downs but require you to gain ultimate points). 3 resources; health, magicka and stamina. The game uses a soft lock-on system. Sneaking, roll-doge, blocking attacks and just staying away from attacks are essential parts of the game. More experienced players use animation-cancelling.

Is it just that bloodspawn has more health or more resistance or something like that? I've been practicing on the first wayrest boss and I'm not sure if it's an accurate reading of what my dps would be.

I love Oblivion and I love WoW. The game's awesome but it lost some RPG mechanics as it's MMO but it still feels like Elder Scrolls game pretty much. There's like so much to do man, it's incredible. I RP from time to time and I can tell you that you should play Dagerfall covenant to see the highest RP density. Other alliances have RP but you seldom come across it. There is a myriad of emotes you can fuck around with and I recommend dowloading few addons e.g. addon that makes your character act in a certain way if it doesn't move for like 10sec. Back to the gameplay, there are many trials and dungeons for you to do that will challenge your skill and shit. Storylines are good and rewarding. DLCs add loads of nice content if you intend to subscribe. I don't know what else I can say. Should you have more questions, tell me!

For blacksmithing, clothing and woodworking, if the way you're leveling them is by deconstructing items (which is the best way), you won't need the keen eye passive and maybe not the x expertise passive (but you will need the x expertise passive later down the line when crafting gear to save money). The extraction passive you could do without if you're tight on skill points. Get the rest of the passives.
As for enchanting, deconstructing runes is again the best way to level it. So you won't need keen eye. Extraction is again a maybe if you're tight on skill points. As for the rest, get them.
I imagine provisioning would be the same as alchemy, so my advice for this will be to follow some youtube guide to power level it.

When does this game get more fun? I joined the DC, went through the tutorial levels, and I'm in Daggerfall just messing around. The crafting is annoying because of the scarcity of ore, the armor is kinda boring looking, and the quests play like a more boring Elder Scrolls. Also other players wandering around leaving bodies everywhere and inhabiting "hidden" dungeons is pretty dumb

You can deconstruct gear into raw materials, that should sort your crafting issue. Armor looks depend on the race and the motif you craft them in, I personally think that this game has some of the best looking heavy armor, nothing over the top, just perfect.

If you are running Windows 8.1, you will need to run the game in compatibility mode for Windows 8. But first, we will need to run the system in Selective Start up.
To put the computer in selective start up:
1) Press the Windows key to enable the start button and type msconfig on the search box
2) Right click on the msconfig.exe program and choose Run as administrator
3) To place your computer into selective start up:
a. On the General Tab at the top, click on the Selective startup radio button
b. Uncheck "Load startup items"
4) Click on the Services tab at the top
a. On the Services tab check the Hide all Microsoft services check box at the bottom

After Running the computer in selective start up, you will now need to put the game into compatibility mode for windows 8.0:

Assuming you're in a guild with a well placed merchant, almost anything you list will eventually sell. Blue provisioning recipes don't sell in large quantities or for that much. Once you've enough money you can start buying and selling jewellery. But you should watch out for several things; right after a campaign ends there will be a lot of Rings of ability and the like on the market since a lot of people got them as rewards.
And the August patch will introduce jewellery-pieces of previous PvP gear, meaning you'll be able to do 5/5 with gears you previously couldn't. I'm not sure how this will affect the market but I'm suspecting we'll either see a drop in sale of Rings of Agility and Willpower or we'll see their prices lowered to be more companionable.
The Agility, Endurance and Willpower jewellery sets works as a gold standard towards which all new jewellery will be compared.
