I actually had a good synergy going on with the Hanzo on my team while I played Junkrat. Basically I airbagged people into the air and he skewered them with arrows or held them down with traps while he scatter arrowed them.
If a bastion and mei are coordinated, she can lift him up with ice walls so he can peek out and slaughter people. Roadhog and mercy works out well too and builds ult rather quickly

Just try out everything at least once. One tip you'll want for later is that you can cancel the end of your reload/the time between your shots with a slow gun with a melee attack. It's usually less DPS, but higher burst/ammo efficient so if you're almost able to kill someone you can just punch them the second you shoot.
Some things can be canceled by other things as well like you can do a right click with Genji into melee into his dash attack all coming out in one frame of one another.

1.06 Torbjs per map
0.5 Bastions per map
93% of maps had at least one bastion or torbjorn
81% had at least one torbjorn
25% had multiple torbjorn
So why are they being chosen so often? Well, if you think about it for a second, it's because for very little effort they are as effective as another hero played decently well. And if you give people an opportunity to get a lot of results for very little effort, they will invariably take it.
