In those cases consider playing hyper agressive to either throw them off and forcing the win or you'll get killed faster and the shitfest will end sooner.First option is surprisingly useful when most of the enemy team is below your tier and with good play you'll dish out fat damage and MAYBE your mouthbreathers will get ez shots in to help.

Others prefer a faster paced game where you control more of your ship than just your primary guns. There isn't the same RNG either. You can fire your guns at an area with relative confidence that they'll hit where you aim them. Vs Warships where god only knows where your shells will hitUnless you pay for the WoWS mod/cheat to see precisely where shells will hit.
It is trying to break out of being a china only game with this Steam release and its a relatively smaller company. Thus it isn't as widely known, and doesn't have the millions upon millions due to prior games to throw at advertising that Wargaming does. (WG bought a Superbowl slot last year. 30 seconds for 4 million$$)

With the recent patch new players are in a better spot than they have been in quite a while. 7 days of premium and some commanders after the first match played.

I personally find this game superiour to WoWS, while actively playing both.
And since they are both free to play I'd recommend giving it a shot, only like 5 gigs via steam so a fast download.

SO is more team based than WoWs with each ship having a role in the battle. The nations are pretty balanced with each one having strengths and weaknesses, their is no OP nation. All ship weapons are manually controlled, there is no aim assistance on torpedoes or guns so you have to eyeball it.
