Honestly play f2p until you get enough nostalgia then just buy the first month of membership, trying to make money on f2p is like trying to cut grass with scissors. Once you are a member just work towards doing all the early quests that give you great stat rewards like the waterfall quest and the gnome questline in general. If you really want to worry about making money for bonds work towards 60 smithing and use the blast furnace. If you do that for 5 hours you should easily make up enough money for a bond for the 2 weeks. You have the month of membership to help build your stats up and you only need to make 200k a day to pay for membership past your initial month.

It is for me, I've done treasure trails only to get like chapped leather bodies, a black dagger and a dozen elemental runes. speaking as someone who just finished boosting to a t10 with two similar level friends, its a bit of a pain
you can only get the same target after cycling through 7 other targets, and if you're skipping each of those targets (by logging in and out), you'll incur a 30 minute debuff
and even then once the debuff clears its not guaranteed that you'll get matched with your other account as a target

they're like rock crabs but better, 60 hp instead of 50 and there are fuckloads more spawns so its easier to get a place. theres also quite a lot of 3 spawn spots. if you have access to the 1250 total world you'll pretty much always be able to find a spot, if not you might have to hop around a bit
