It doesn't. Right now you have some resources, probably a few warframes and weapons too that would take you a long ass time to get normally. And nothing stops you from going through early missions one by one. There's no "reverse engineering," only throwing away all the hours of grinding you already did. But hey, it's your game.

you can use him like a poor man's edgy loki by modding dur/eff for content bypass/speed runs, with the advantage of having a quick "kill that piece of deac shit" button and a one-way teleport in exchange for disarm/st, and he's still good for general purpose aoe killing even if you forma his aura to - for invis or team play
or you can go all out on edgestorm with steel charge, max out your power strength and range, use the few melee mods that actually affect his 4protip, you have the aura and two melee mods but are missing one, potentially two if you don't mind holding down a button, and only bring him to runs where you don't mind not being able to take corrosive projection for your team

Do you not understand? When they blow up the void, you won't have to farm it anymore. Every tile will help you farm the projection you are using.
Imagine you need a T3S rotation C drop, now, you go to T3S, spend 12 hours farming, and when your soul is about to die, the item drops. After the rework, you set your drop table to T3S and every map you do counts towards completion. You are no longer stuck in the void, you are free to do other things, or keep on doing the void if you choose.

Infested have been buffed. Healers are now stronger. At one time, healers healed on nearby ally damage AND took allied damage for them. Made stuff into fucking tanks. That and moas.
Corpus were actually the original Draco, when Mag was useful. Then they introduced nullifiers to kill the fun. And Comba/Scrambus.
Grineer are just dumb shooters. They get tanky with armor which pubs rarely remove so they seem tough. Only annoying unit is maybe the manic but you never see that anymore, especially on Draco which is half the game nowadays.

I hardly play anymore. I pop up to check on the game periodically. It's part of my routine to catch up with what /wfg/ is up to first.

It's perfectly true this system could actually beat out what we have now - but that is because our current system is so bad it's not particularly difficult to beat. That isn't championing any progress DE is making either - it's stating the obvious. This keys and drop tables system doesn't work at all. They can't even fit all the shit they've made into it. If nothing else at least this system CAN be made to encompass the whole thing. We'll see if they actually do it.
It is also true that it is highly likely the rate of obtaining either rarer parts OR this afterimage currency is going to be abysmal because DE is forever terrified of how players can grind faster than they can invent gimmicks.

Ignoring Tierqueer, what are some different ways to play Equinox? Right now I'm just going high power str keeping Peaceful Provocation up and running around with a baTonkortonk to fuel Maim, but it seems like a waste since she just seems like such a variable frame, I'm curious what other ways people have found to be effective.
Maybe low str high range/duration with Calm and Frenzy with a CE dagger or something. Though more utility than just killing would be nice since the maim build covers that okay.

Post-Void update it'll be possible to reintroduce all the Vaulted Primes harmlessly. This is something they said they wanted to do when they started Vaulting.
