I really don't know if I should invest towards another weapon. I feel really good with my defenses/spells since they only need a little more investment to be where I want them. The laj is great, and I can use it for the rest of the game but it'd feel like a bit of a waste. Too many options and they're all good. I'm leaning towards Frostbite if I do make a change, but god damn. I don't know that I'll ever have that spare experience.

First of all, the exp required to spawn an exit out of the Abyss is based on character level so if you're low level you can exit faster than if you're high level. And for good reason, banishment at low level was outrageously more powerful than any other effect an enemy could inflict on you.
Second, the exp required to spawn an exit can be adjusted, and WAS increased.
Third, the abyss is still just as dangerous when you get banished to level 3+. But without the stupid exit rng.

No, and if you're playing trunk it tells you which abilities can be silenced in the monster description. (it's the ones that require the monster to make a sound to cast and wretched starts "glow" to cast)
What the fuck is up with laser sight attachments on cata? Well, sights attachments in general. Seems like instead of altering stat values like most other attachments, they just completely replace the stats they affect on whatever they're added to, which means that you can only have ONE actually do anything regardless of how many other ones you have attached to the same weapon. There's also some weapons that don't seem to be affected by certain ones, like I have a mossberg shotgun that isn't being affected at all by a rail laser sight I have on it. I think this is due to the laser trying to change the mossberg's sight dispersion from 90, to 100, which would be slightly worse, but for some reason the game doesn't want to allow that stat to be made worse(even though aim speed would be improved) so it just ignores the attachment? Seems kinda fucked to me.
It sucks too because there's not a whole lot of attachment options to begin with, and in the case of the rail mounted laser sight it's the only option for the rail for like half the gun types(launchers, handguns, smgs). There's also the fact that the only other option for the rest of the weapons with a rail slot is the rail mounted crossbow. Which means you have a choice for your rail between a rail laser sight, maybe a rail crossbow, or nothing at all. Of course, chances are that the rail laser sight is already rendered useless by an improved iron sights, or the other laser sight. So if your weapon doesn't support the crossbow(or you don't want to use it/take the hit to dispersion), and you already have either the other laser sight or an improved iron sight, then the rail laser is pointless and you're shit out of luck for options on that slot.

Just started playing DC:SS again since the 0.18 update. Rolling with VpAs and my blowgun isn't doing as much work as I remember it doing in other stabber runs. Did they nerf needle-stabbing?
I could confuse zeus, so it should be possible to confuse the serpent. It wasn't exactly reliable though and the fight was actually kind of dangerous, so I guess this character won't be as cheesy in the final fights as it seemed until now.

It is low, but the thing is, confused monsters can't attack at all except by bumping into you in melee.
So for the majority of the game where everything is easily confused, you can just poke them to death while they fumble around uselessly.
Also it's a ranged attack that can't be resisted or reflected and costs no resource to use, so there's that too.

Yeah, but then you use it again. You also can heal up easily using mp once it lands.
I have a crazy good randart of Hephaestus's hammer now. Before that I think it was around 450, but I don't really have much +dam from gear (and the hammer is heavy enough to get a bonus from my giant pact, while my previous sword wasn't).
I've been bashing confused monsters in melee to speed it up, but I'm not sure it's the safest way against heavy hitters.
Not the best plan there.
