Note I haven't played much with this update but from my one HoE game/clear this seems to be the most effective.

You can nitpick which classes are good for what, but Medic is for healing, Commando trash clearing, and SS for big zed handling (and can even help with trash clearing).

Firebug is utterly useless and might as well be a joke class.

Zerk is good for bosses but is lacking during the normal waves in my experience. Feels way weaker than v1008 zerk.

Gunslinger is ok but feels like a lesser Commando to me.

Demo is ok, but is a bit weaker now. You can carry M79 and RPG now, plus your explosions will literally send zeds flying (but won't kill). The +impact damage perk skills don't work, so you're stuck with a limited skill tree until they're fixed. I prefer RPG/C4/Medic SMG for the healing utility.

I haven't seen a single support since the update, but I guess they're ok for sirens and ammo bags.

You can replace a Sharpshooter with a Demo for a giggle. Everything else is a dead weight on the team and will either be unfun to play or set you up for a votekick against you.

Because this game is designed with teleporting behind corners in mind. The fan made maps in this game are notoriously easy because you can kite forever, unlike in KF1 where you basically couldn't run away from a Scrake or a Fleshpound at all.

There's literally no point to use leg shots.
Gunslinger is just a spamfest of shoot until it's dead.
At least with the decreased HP on HOE it's faster, just not as reliable as with stumbles/knockdowns.

Is it just me or does this game feel way more clunky than KF1? I might be remembering it wrong but I feel KF1 was a lot more fluid. My first death was actually because I tried to jump over a railing (on containment I think) that seemed absolutely jumpable. Sadly it had an invisible wall or something over it and I got cucked.

Playing Commando since KF1 and I must say I'm kinda disappointed. All the talents seem to be rather generic and boring % increases and I honestly say I'm not particularly looking forward to getting the level 10 Skills. Kind of a shame because getting new talents should always be a "fuck yeah, nice!" moment in games like these.

Always got the doctor so far, on normal a rather boring fight. with all low levels the boss was far from difficult, just time consuming. the first time around I ended up using up all of my ammo for every weapon and just having to whack him. Honestly got a bit boring to just stand there and hold left click on his back while he tries to attack someone else and actually added to the weapons feeling a bit shit.

Ironic considering they're probably the best all-around weapon thanks to this fucking resistance update. They have the least bad modifiers of all weapons.

Maybe, but it used to be much worse. There was an update not too long ago that increased the money you earn by 10% and I personally started drowning in cash even on HoE after that.
Also, because perk discounts are gone, weapons are cheaper now. Off-perking is cheaper than ever. Not to say any weapon is really worth off-perking, but still.

All they had to do was not do these fucking resistances, I don't give a shit if it was "to play more tactically" or "make it an RPG element", this isn't KF1 where you had time to play it out and find your target among the hordes, this is KF2 where its fast paced action with dozens of zeds literally running into the barrel of your weapons, you can't take a second to just think what you want to fight because you aren't given that choice most the time, its do or die.

This update is by far the worst the game has ever had.
HOWEVER, looking at Tripwire's track record, the game only gets worse and worse.
I want to say that I don't think the game can get any worse, but I've been proven wrong on that twice now.
So the question we should be asking is: HOW could they make the game worse?

Ah. I constantly forget that people join games way over their level. I never did it in KF1 or Payday2 because I knew even if I'd joing a high difficult run, I'd likely get flattened or just run out of ammo so I'd never join anything above my level. I guess not everyone is like that.

This is just retarded. Why is he so tanky? I agree that KF1, C4 boss nuking was cheesy as fuck, but even without explosives, if you filled up before the boss you usually didn't run out of ammo like this. And like I said there is barely any difficulty to it, It just feels like pissing against a wall rather than shooting a boss.

The Perk thing is just sad. I mean, 60% knife & backup pistol damage or 150% "stumble power" Who the fuck is thinking "Oh yeah, just 5 more levels to get that"? Nobody. Fucking nobody. The gunplay and detail of it is very nice, but don't let that pretty gameplay belies the quality of said gameplay that goes around it.
The recent balances are far too harsh and really paint an unsatisfying feeling that make you seem like its nothing on first glance, if something like a stalker gets in your face and you happen to be holding a shotgun, the fact that they can just walk through all those pellets like it was air just makes it all feel wasted especially when you can kill a husk so much easier despite looking stronger and beefier.

Why not piercing ammo? Why not magic ammo that hits another nearby zed for 50% of the the damage after hitting the first? why not a random chance to gain ammunition? why not "intimidation" firing Commando weapons has a chance to make nearby (the closer the higher the chance) enemies flinch and not attack for a bit (for when some sneak up on you), Why not have something like "sniper support" where you have a low chance when hitting something that a high damage sniper bullet will fly in from somewhere off screen to do high damage to the target, why not "sprint and reload", why not ANYTHING that is fun. This is just fucking sad of a talent tree.

Just did couple succesful HoE runs with some friends and I must say Zerker is not totally thrash. He's not as good as he used to, can't kill big guys, but can still hold doorways while others help him kill zeds. Zwei is better in killing things faster now, but Pulv can stumble SC/FP so you can hold them longer before getting raped by them. It's better to just use the M14 to kill them rather than go melee, or just concentrate on killing any other zeds who are nearby while Sharps deal will the big guys. I think one Berzerker to hold that one spot from where most zeds are coming is not a bad idea, especially on corridors map like Containment Station.

Tripwire has a weird way of collecting feedback and dealing with it, to say it nicely. Telling them about issues and possible improvements is important but with all that happend in early access so far you get the impression that it is a pointless endeavor, since they rather look at their graph bars instead of good solutions from their community.

I think Zerker could be fixed by leaving it as is and introducing a passive 10% speed and 25% health on top of what it already has currently.

This way, rather than being moderately tanky or quite quick, you get to be very tanky and a bit quick or moderately tanky and extremely quick

Before, zerker 175 health and 25% speed, and I think that 175% health+10%speed and 125% health+35% speed would be a better choice, as Zerker has become a bit underpowered now. That, and making parrying as effective as it used to be - it's one of the main attractions of the perk.

This happened in KF1 too. It's not guaranteed people will join a server, much like it happens in any other multiplayer game ever. Take off those nostalgia glasses. I know it's cool to hate on KF2, and I do it too, but you are going overboard with this.

Both teleporting and conductor spawns need to be taken down two or three notches.

They need to increase how long it takes to deactivate zeds by 10-20 seconds so they get los on you again and keep approaching instead of materialising around every corner you turn and put a larger minimum radius on how close zeds can spawn, because this is fucking ridiculous.

If they ever wanna balance the teleport, it should be around at least 10 seconds cooldown. As I know 5 second period is also their default respawn delay. Increasing the teleporter time would reduce the chances of getting a combinated attack from front, and reduce the after effects of a possible motion sickness.

There was no such thing in KF1, I doubt it would be in KF2 either. You just have to have the ability of reading the marks and the map itself so act cautiously and scale your killing rate accordingly. Yeah, it's something else.
Gorefast resistances actually are kinda subtle now, with today's live update.

But the bullseye update also gave them 50 head health, instead of the 20 they had before, rewarding good shot placement less.
Even shotguns, which are supposed to be gorefasts' weakness now, are worse at popping their heads than before, mostly taking 2 pellets instead of just 1.

My bet is they're gonna seemingly spend most of that time reworking the content that's already in the game, and then at the last minute, they'll push out SWAT and MA in an update that also reworks lots of aspects of the game, completely ruining absolutely everything even worse than the sharp update did, just in time for them to not even start fixing it before the planned release on Dec 20th, the technical last day of fall, and just in time for xmas sales.
But they'll delay the planned release by a week, only to add an exclusive limited time offer santa outfit for Briar and hat for everyone that you'll never ever have another chance to possibly get unless you buy the pcgamer magazine for Dec 2016. (but then dec 2017, everyone with the game will get them, during a free weekend)

I can see where TWI wanna go with the resistances. There was a really popular SuperZombies mutator back in KF1, for fellas who like the real challenge. Like... Even basic Clots had 50% resistance against bullets unless you headshot them, Stalker claws would cause bleeding, Crawlers poison you, Scrakes get stunned only once just like flinch, Fleshpounds grow resistance to the last weapon you killed them within' their next respawn.
Yet...
All of the above things applied and WORKED unlike KF2, because we had a dozen of speedkill techniques that worked in KF1.
In KF2, all players are stripped down from such luxury because it casualized for consoles. If TWI wanna keep it down that lane for getting inspiration from the modders then they better study what they done with KF1 beforehand.
Asking "what are the differences between KF1 and KF2 Fleshpound, pliz list am lazy" on the forums doesn't seem convincing enough that you grasped what's beyond it. They just have no idea what to do with game on from this point. I'm sure of it, it struggles between being a "AAA PC game" and a "casualized console version of a good franchise".

I meant the scalpel itself, it has gun hit power for primary attacks unlike the other knives, and the altfire has more melee hit power than the other knives.

Berserker has lots benefits for any knife, and commando has backup.
Medic's lacerate does apply to scalpel, but lacerate does only 1 damage per second, over the course of thirteen seconds, not stacking.

Yes, the player Zeds have been buffed with stats and extra abilities and effects. If pub teams actually make it to Pat (they usually don't 85% of all games), Pat pretty much 2-3 shots with melee smacks and his minigun/rockets are a lot more damaging

Do you not know of the resistances Scrakes and FPs get to it on those difficulties? That thing is only good if you have other Sharps carrying it too, which they didn't. You can't kill a Fleshpound worth a shit with it either.

Everyone else was running M14/LAR too. It's the default combo to use for Sharp on those difficulties, it allows you to get much more reliable clean kills.

Anyone else feel like demo is in a good position right now? Mad bomber, High impact and Armour piercing are varying degrees of useless due to tripwires incompetence

Is the best setup in my opinion until they fix the myriad of broken skills.
I find grenadier is what makes demo fun to play.
25% extra damage is good but taking almost 1 second off your reload times on top of the new incap system means that you can knock down scrakes and fleshpounds and stun all trash in a 3 mile radius constantly when you have concussive rounds.

I just wish they didn't ruin his grenades so badly, tiny aoe, removing stun on top of reducing the damage was just too much.
Now its essentially just the [G]et off of me button.

I also can't find any use for taking c4+offperk over m79 other than the boss wave.
Placing them on Patty so hes always visible or on hans as a panic shield remove if he manages to grab someone.

I think the main reason Sharps have difficulty aiming reliably online is because you are playing with other players, so zeds are more common and you tend to feel more pressured to kill the Scrake fast. I'm pretty sure the hitboxes are the exact same, theoretically.

If you have the Musket, then you are in luck. Get it instead of the LAR and kill the Scrake before it even has a chance to lower its head during the stun. Three M14 shots plus two from the Musket kills a Scrake without it raging (on 6 player HoE, you may wanna test for other difficulties or number of players), and you don't need to compensate for the changing hitbox during the stun.

If you don't have it, then you are gonna need a third shot from the LAR, which is enough time for the Scrake to lower its head. However, getting one shot down during the whole time the stun lasts shouldn't be hard, and even if you miss, your teammates should be able to damage control it for you and headshot the Scrake, which should have a low enough head health for it to die easily.

But to solve that problem, more often than not, the problem usually seems to be that Sharps don't aim low enough. Try aiming a bit lower than you would when its head is down.

I've played solo as a Medic, 10 waves as the first waves were the hardest, bought SMG when I had change, sold and bought AR next, and before Scrake round started I was able to afford M14. Leave one clot alive at the end of the wave to repair armor and look for ammo in the meantime. I was staying in the turbine room so zeds were pretty much coming from one direction, AR for trash, M14 for Sirens, Husks, SC, FP. Don't try to kill biggies when there is ton of shit around it. When kiting don't bother with killing anything that's behind you, just look in front of you, there will be a lot of zeds there. Try to turn around every few seconds to stop sirens from teleporting, if you look in their direction the teleporting timer resets. For boss I was lucky to have Patty so just kite and shoot when you have a chance. When he uses minigun, you should be able to shoot him from around the corner in the right arm while he will be hitting wall.

The I would presonally go full out damage with Sniper, stability, rackemup and focus on never missing shots.
I mostly found Ballistic shock to be really underwhelimg if you can just do absurd amounts of headshot damage instead, combat ready for when you are soloing for the faster Lever Action reloading.

Havent done too many suicidal tests so I'm not 100% sure if you actually need the 30% damage increase for any significant breakpoints but the stun power always feels so underwhelming

Sure demo and support can hit a dozen zeds but a shot gun wont kill them and a RPG over kills.

2) Running is a joke
3) the pistol, well the gun sounds/feedback is not as good as in KF1
4) Netcode, seems erratic, but maybe this is just my connection.
5) Pacing, even at normal it all comes so quick there is no build up, they had a really nice idea with the scream in the distance of the Fleshpound but somehow it feels like they wanted to just make it "faster" without considering the consequences.

When I read the change I was worried it would just trick players into wasting ammo because his feeding charge was an inevitability and with all the talk of resistances and nerfing weapons I figured it would be like shooting through three Fleshpounds to break his shield. But no, it's paper thin and I never need my second RPG/Microwave Gun/Rail Gun because he just gets spit roasted like it's 1945.

People who are against it are autists who want difficulty in any way possible, not the fair kind. I mean sure it casualizes the game which is kind of bad, but compared to the incredible frustration of trying to hit teammates (and when it does hit, sometimes it fails) it's FAR less frustrating to get "an easy heal" than to insist on aiming manually and missing over and over because your teammates won't stand still.
So basically, people who don't like autoaim healing are the same kind of people who think teleporting is fun because it makes the game harder. I mean, sure it does, but if we want the hardest possible experience why don't we just teleport the players to the zeds and disarm them? That would be hard!

Xbow is not the optimal weapon for killing Fleshpounds at HoE 6p setups and can't clear swarms at all. Also M14 can clear trash as well as decapitating big bads easily.

If it's too close you can still flinchlock it by hugging it. When executed right, by minding hipfire direction and recoil compensation you'll only take damage from the trash closing in as Scrake will be flinched and decapitated from M14 headshots. Still if it aint enraged yet and you're healthy enough you can tank the chainsaw hit once then run away to heal abit and clear trash around him.
If you can't do any of the above, then you may guess your teammates left you to die just because you being a burden. Gratz, you played with a few elitist dolts.

If you get swarmed that easily then you may as well too far from your teammates or not giving slight attention to the combat. Selling M14 and getting at least armor and a loaded LaR or MK23 (flinches Scrakes on headshot just like M14, when onperk'd) is another option you didn't take for wave6. You have a 9mm to fend off trash off from you for a good while to spare M14 mags to the big bads however.

After the first headshot from LaR or Musket, Scrake headhitbox will hang about at the same location for like 2 seconds even you see the head flopped down. Mind the recoil and it's 2 more free shots after the first headshot to Scrake before the head hitbox flopped down to the shoulder level and start swinging around. I suggest doing one or two headshots with MK23 before stunning it with Musket 3 shot combo. A pistol or M14 headshot before you attempt to finish also ensures that you have their aggro.

Alternatively; at the 4th headshot 6p (all alive) HoE Scrake will start enrage and charge yet if you stay calm you can stun and decapitate it mid-charge with a Musket or LaR headshot or finish it with M14 as it runs onto you when you have enough distance. Some people hug it as its charging and land the rest on its head with M14 too but that requires a good eye and ping.
