I can't talk about when the game first came out since I didn't start until the end of 2013, but pic related was one of the best/hardest to obtain team back then.

Susano is actually used pretty often so you can tank a few rounds easier while stalling and he has 2 SB. His defense has haste and he can inherit a bind clear. Plus he lets you tank. His inclusion on complete system teams is a bit questionable.
Parvati is probably a better general sub to handle the bind clear role.

The slot you have with Susano can either be Susano or Parvati with Thumbelina/RRH/Cinderella inherit. HAlraune works well if you have her too.

match 5(+) isnt bad at all, I don't really think thats the reason. Like the other anon said, the fact that kaede has 3 2prong and her leader skill naturally fits better with 2 pronged attacks then a match 5, puts her over the top.
It's not that the 5(+) is cumbersome or hard to make, it's just that it takes up space on the board and drains your main color orbs which can no longer be devoted toward making rows or prongs to push the dmg up more.
That being said though, sumire is still amazing lead and in my opinion, easier to use than kaede, but with a lesser potential for dmg.

You guys are severely underestimating how high Kaede's minimal multiplier is compared to the usual gap given between the two. 2,3(,4) would have been much more in line with how multiple match mechanics usually work.
Sparkle is only equivalent with higher multipliers. Kaede's end multiplier with six orbs is already only a hair below Sumire's 5 match. It's close enough that Kaede's team will almost always do more damage because most have much higher attack. At 9 orbs with no prongs she is already doing significantly more.
At 8 orbs Kaede's team is doing more than double. It only gets massively worse from there. Being triple pronged on top of it and not having to deal with two 5 locked matches is gravy. She's easier and stronger.
At the very least they should have had the same cross bonus, but it's easy to see why they didn't - 100x on chain 5 match sweeps would be disgusting.

13 rows is 2.3x 13 rows with 2 oe is 2.61x eschamali's 7oe would make it 3.38x though not sure how those stack up against god killer.

god killer outweighs the rest by miles if you're running avritra because of the enhance and the possibility of stacking killers. you also have to consider that if you don't have 5 dark enhances the actual buff is less because there are less enhanced orbs on the board (and that holds even truer if you orb/boardchange)
all of this was before you pulled escha of course, the skyfall and the 100% chance of enhanced drop really go aganist what I said. on the other hand having 2 heartbreakers in a team with not that much hp/rcv ratio like avritra/nobu could be doesn't look good to me, so I'd still stick to reverting your pers and making both of them D/R
