How do you redraw front lines when you have units occupying the province not offensive lines. I have a one province bulge that I'm wasting 6 units to occupy with. I want to move the frontline back one province there. It's the small bulge at the very south.

Jesus fuck, shut the fuck up about Russia not surrendering. The soul fucking purpose of Russia's Eastward expansion throughout its entire history was to give them more land to retreat to. Because Russia is literally one giant field it's almost totally indefensible. They strategically founded and built cites in the east, north of Kazakhstan and in Siberia, genocided and relocated entire ethnic groups of people, and built industrial infrastructure specifically to do what they are doing to you now. Russia didn't just mindlessly expand, notice how all of their borders stop at some sort of natural ( defensible ) barrier, whether it be a mountain, desert, or river. Except that there are no supply stacks anywhere. You can literally drive 5000 tanks from Paris to Stalingrad without EVER having to think about them running out of fuel

I'm playing as USSR and have around 300 divisions in 1942 but it's not enough. Gemany and their European allies never managed to advance, but Japan controlls all of China and some parts of India and is throwing hundreds of divisions at my Siberian border. I want to kill myself now. I never expected this shit to happen, I guess it's impossible to win this shit. Not even the Western allies pushing into France seems to help. I guess I should have built even more divisions, maybe around 500

Well, I was missing some map fixing for this release. I added the Karakum Desert to Turkemenistan, which before was a forest and a few fertile plains. I had to re purpose the old Line atoll province to become Merv but the result is prettier and more accurate borders, as Persia can own Ashkhabad without looking like ass and armies actually have to cross the desert if coming from the north. Or they have to take a detour around Balkh.
I'm just sure the Russian AI will completely ignore Ashkhabad and go for the state below it, making borders a mess.

Things only get a bit complicated in Uzbekistan when we reach Samarkand, as it's a mess of fertile areas and desert. For the rest its pretty simple, with a province for the Amu Darya delta and one for the fertile plains fro the Amu Darya near Khiva. The problem is, the delta splits the rest of the desert and the Ustyurt Plateau, which makes it necessary to have two provinces for the desert. Dunno what I will do about that.
I should probably make it so an army could march along the Amu Darya plains up to the delta, but the fucking thing not only has some slight errors in latitude, it's also exactly on the border of the two countries.

It uses the game variables, so since the adjective for Yugoslavia is "Yugoslavian" in game (such as Yugoslavian Africa) it will use that no matter what. You are right, but I can't do anything about it.
The abrupt end is because the text got bigger thanks to the big variables used. I will see if I can shorten the text a bit so this doesn't happen.

I do it with the game open and I use rivers and borders as a guide. You can use the terrain map and use the terrain as a guide too.

I used Paradox numbers. Yes it's 36K pops for a huge province, but 99% live in the small town along the river where the desert that makes 99% of the province is sparsely inhabited. Since the ones that live in the desert are nomads anyway, census is harder, especially in the 19th century.

The Heligoland stuff is usually solved by a treaty. A huge war where the CSA invades the british isles over the right to transport a few slaves from Africa doesn't seem very reasonable.

Do keep in mind that such stuff would move only small quantities of pops (such as bureaucrats, intellectuals, officers, artisans) otherwise provinces would be depopulated. It would probably only be usable once for each province too.
There's also a problem of the move_pop command not being dynamic enough. So pops could only be moved to certain provinces.
