I expect hate, but I just got to the Farron area in DS3, and I currently have enjoyed DS2 more. This game spams you with new weapons every 5 feet, and enemies have almost endless combos at times. I sat back and watched one of those beasts with the cross on its back swipe lime 10 times. This isn't Bloodborne.

I actually place it above both of those. My order is Bloodborne > 3 > 2 > Dark > Demon's. Demon's aged pretty poorly, and the areas weren't as interesting when I went back and played them (I still think Tower of Latria and Shrine of Storms are awesome areas). Dark Souls 1 shits the bed once you beat Drake and Josh, though the DLC is pretty great if not uninspired compared to DaS2's.
DaS2 has more variety in the level location and feels more videogame-y, hence why I like it. It has all the staples: ice level, fire level, forest level, water level, castle level, dungeon, etc. It feels like they took the Souls formula and injected some Zelda into it. Plus I loved the Iron King DLC.

Roll away, you can stagger them anyways. Fast weapons to attack and stagger them before they complete their attack. Slow big weapons to attack away from their range or counterattack. Alternatively just go around most enemies and backstab them.
