I'd say that the reason he's mandatory is that he's the only real tank of the bunch. Roadhog can't actually block for your team and is a free ult charge, D.Va and Winston are flanking/disruptors, and Zarya is more like an off tank, only able to protect one other person at a time. Rein is the only one who can force the enemy to shoot him and survive it, everyone else gets shredded pretty fast. So instead of nerfing Rein I'd just say there needs to be more tank variety.

This game is pretty simple and mindless so now that I'm bored trying to play objectives, my new way to play is to insta-pick Hanzo. Some games I do well, no big deal, I have fun shooting arrows. Some games I don't do well but I still get to practice my aim and walljumps and all that, no big deal, I have fun.
But some games I don't do well and some teammate tells me I'm shit, or to change class. This is it. This is where the actual game begins. I start channeling pure retarded autism into team chat for at least two minutes, spouting shit like "How DARE you tell me how to play a game I bought", "Ummmm I have a 8.27 K:D on Hanzo maybe you should learn to play", "Why did you stop playing to type to me? Are we giving up so we can type to each other?" etc.
Then here's the part I need help with. Right now I pick Mei and follow him around and wall him off at every chance. I block his progress forward, I stick a wall in front of him while he's blowing his ult, I trap him so enemies kill him. This is great fun but I'm wondering if there's a better way to fuck with a teammate besides the Mei wall.

Zenyatta is shit desu atm. His healing is shitty compared to Mercy and Lucio, they didn't buff the heal to compensate for the line of sight nerf. Having 150 hp with literally no mobility makes him paper, not even taking into account the le ebin widowbodyshots, he dies to collateral damage like a bitch.
I really really tried to make him work, he's one of my top three most played, but after dropping him to play Mercy, I had way way more impact on the game since I could actually do shit other then throw balls and die.

How to make tanks other than Reinhardt actually useful.
D.Va: Defence Matrix needs a lot more uptime. 3 out of every 10 seconds isn't much for a tank.
Roadhog: His heal should also heal nearby allies for a smaller amount.
Winston: He should be given an alternate fire that rapidly restores shield of any allies that have a shield.
Zarya: Shield on herself needs to last at least twice as long. Shield on allies should protect from less, but should effect more than one person.
Outside of Winston just for disrupting people, there is literally no point in picking any other tank hero except Reinhardt.

When the defense team is defending the archway just run to the right and go up the stairs. From there you drop the turret behind/beside the point, set it up then touch the point. Most the time they are focusing on you on the point and not the turret shooting them once they get half way there.
Its pretty amazing how often you can go to the right side of A on anubis with any hero and get ignored by the enemy team trying to shoot rein's shield.
