And why do you think not? Personal shipping? The subtext of YasukeXJunko was as plain as day. She literally murdered him, as she did mukuro, because she would feel a ridiculous amount of despair over losing someone she loved. Sides, Otanashi wouldn't stop obsessing over him, she speaks for junko's heart. As for the second point, at the very end of DR0 Yasuke tried to strangle Junko to stop her. It's a fitting canon point.

tl;dr
dr3 is possibly a steins;gate esq platform. MC will go back in time when his or her chiaki/kyoko dies. The more he goes back, the more despair that he grows until it finally hits him that he will never be able to save her unless the past has been undone. This will cause the true hope to arise and a new timeline will be formed.
Lie bullets will be introduced when you play as the murderer in the trial (one of the three shown) since he murdered the MC. During this trial, the new MC will arise, thus you end a chapter not only being murdered, but executed aswell
Twins will die in the same chapter. No one will suspect the other twin being the murderer because of how "close" they seem. In reality, despair has been growing between them. One twin was tired of being in the shadows, so her only claim to hope was by murdering their sibling

DR3 will involve inmates, but that leaves more to imagine friend. With an interest in including the future, time travel can be possible. Think about this, why are the talents locked up? Is it to save them? To contain them out of fear? Is DR2 fears about the despairs causing this acceptance of keeping ultimates from the rest of the world? Could someone had gone back in time and changed past events to reach this point?

I had a Corpse Party influenced theory before, but it got to the point where it couldn't be used as a stepping stone for hope. It was just a cycle of always leading back to believing that the person who fucked with time travel was the same person who didnt hold on to their piece of paper once they did the ritual at the start of Corpse Party.

Hmm I dont like the way I wrote this out. Let me expand.
For those who havent played Corpse Party, a group of dumbass kids decide to do this friendship ritual or some shit where they each hold on to a piece of paper and say some shit, in order to stay friends or something you got to hold on to it. Of course, people dont hold on and they get fucked over. From there a series of events based on your actions happen and and end result based on your resolve is discovered. You switch between characters and discover more and more about the place they are currently in and etc.
My Corpse Theory was that with DR3, a similar situation would happen. Because of past events, this(lets say dr2 and makoto's treason in protecting the despaird) caused the prison to become a reality. Kinda like chapter 4 in DR2 when you switch to my boy, this will happen in DR3 to discover the truth behind the murders of course, but the prison as well. Based on your actions, certain events will occur that will make time travel (or in Corpse Party's case, dimensions) possible.
Its all wishy washy and im kinda sleepy, so forgive this sloppy ex theory of mine. I never got to finish it but it was meh

I never saw the third one but that's the general theme of back to the future. They go back to the past, do some dickery, and in the process things get revealed about the future situation by actions done in the past and their impacts later on or whatever else.
It just sucks because the biggest missing piece of information is how far in the past they go and where in the future they came from. But if by some chance this happens again with a new mastermind, and it isn't a reused junko bullshit plot, I would totally see this being protag from the future, vs villian from the future, with a cast of fuckwits who are just caught up in the mess, know shit outside of "If you kill everyone you are free from prison."
I just don't see the lying mechanic becoming a thing where you are trying to get away with murder. Instead it's like "Oh yeah, you were there too? Remember that thing? Yeah I bet you do!" And then they go along with the lie and you just end up putting them in a corner saying "Wow, you are fucking lying, that didn't happen at all you fucking retard. Nice job fucking yourself over."

Prisons have four major purposes. These purposes are retribution, incapacitation, deterrence and rehabilitation. Retribution means punishment for crimes against society. Depriving criminals of their freedom is a way of making them pay a debt to society for their crimes. Incapacitation refers to the removal of criminals from society so that they can no longer harm innocent people. Deterrence means the prevention of future crime. It is hoped that prisons provide warnings to people thinking about commiting crimes, and that the possibility of going to prison will discourage people from breaking the law. Rehabilitation refers to activities designed to change criminals into law abiding citizens
In order to graduate, you must go down the road of rehabilitation. The other three purposes are not the goal for DR3 since theyve already been filled. Society is protected by keeping the ultimates locked up, and the chances of them turning into ultimate despairs and attacking the public is gone.
