I don't understand how people can still attempt to call Black Desert a sandbox. It's more a lineage clone than anything else. It's a game about acquiring and improving gear. All the games systems are centered toward improving the stats of your character.
All of the life skills, crafting, et cetera are so simple that you might as well just call the minigames. They only seem complicated at first glance because nothing in the game is explained initially.
It boggles my mind how people find enjoyment in fishing or trading crates for so long. I literally can't understand the kind of person with such a high tolerance of tedium and I work in a fucking toll booth. It's downright astounding.

From armour Sorc mainly wants casting speed, stamina, health and knockdown resistance.
You aren't too worried about attack speed because it only impacts Midnight Stinger and a selection of skills which you won't use. You aren't too worried about crit because you'll get +30/40% from Stinger and for some reason Black Flame crits all the time anyway. You aren't worried about movement speed because you're going to teleport everywhere. You don't give 2 fucks about max mana or mana regen because you're going to chug pots in any situation where that would be an issue and mana regen is garbage.
If you're poverty, use Agerian for the health and castspeed bonus. If you have the cash, use Heve/Grunil possibly paired with 2x Zereth, and stick top tier crystals in to get your cast speed. If you don't want to look like a cheap hooker, use the Heve chest.

I played Ultima Online and EverQuest heavily in the late 90s and early 2000s. The anon is absolutely correct.
UO and EQ both had obstacles and challenges to achieve something. This game has none of that. You just go do whatever and the quests are pointless, they get in the way of you being able to be free by providing points to do things like purchase housing. The combat system is on-par (If not better) than all of the good action combat games out there. This makes PvP good.
What gear you have matters little, so you'll just get whatever gear looks best and then upgrade it as much as you can.
It's a sandbox, so you can just grab a boat and head out to your favorite little secret spot to fish, or you could load up your wagon and ship cargo to your favorite city, or you could even go out and shoot down a whale for a giant paycheck. You're never locked into things like questing or a gear-grind. Hell, it sometimes pays to just go out and explore looking for gathering materials.
The player housing system is really awesome. You can pretty much decorate you room however you want.
This is the only MMO where you can hire NPCs to do the shit you don't want to do. Need some Iron ore but can't be arsed to go fetch it yourself? Fuel up a worker with beer and have him do that bullshit for the next hour.

I hope ninjas and bladers are delayed even more while they turn them in to proper non-coreaboo classes. This way channel chat can keep shitting itself and crying because they can't be bleach or whatever.
