The combat system is tougher to master.
The overall learning curve is extremely high to anyone that comes from any other game except for those that got in depth with tera vindictus combat systems and eve gathering.
As for elitist, the elitist aren't even elite they are just killing hours grinding. There is no cap just a soft cap at 50, another soft cap at 55 and a huge cap spike at 56-57. Highest level in korea is 61 after two years.
If you enjoy grind you'll enjoy this game as there's nothing but grind and exploration. You make your own fun. Unlike vindictus this game is open world and no loading screens except when you change channels or load into the game.

So I've just gotten this game and decided to go Sorceress seeing as the combos and fighting styles remind me of Devil May Cry.
I've got to say though. Been burning my way to around level 21 in just a day in a half. Been kinda' getting a little bored of it as I continue on as I just repeat the same combos over and over again against large groups of enemies. I don't know why, but it just feels like the only thing worth doing is just fighting shit so I'm doing just that.

Equally geared and skilled the ranger should win every time actually because they can out kite all our gap closers. A good tamer won't even use their pet even if it scaled the AI on it is total garbage and won't attack anything vs groups because the AI flips its shit and then runs around in circles until it gets killed.
+20 weapons are not out also so they are not getting one-two shot yet, still no point in using the beast until they fix the AI (See:never) you are better off playing tamer like a ninja and using the beast a buff bot/distraction which can make us just as strong if played right.
But yeah overall even if they fix scaling they won't fix the AI.

Valk in general has the highest accuracy due to buff they get, and in pvp they have the highest damage single target combo as well the most amount of defense.
The downside to this is that you have 5 options for face the defaults of all of which are potato down syndrome face and half your animations plain look retarded given you shout/hold your sword in the air like a mongoloid.
Though these downsides outweighs that they are super powerful a valk is pretty much second to rangers in terms of fucked up and they are the second most played class next to wizard and witch.
