I know from personal experience. I'm pretty sure my life would have been ruined if I had had people egging me on to actually act on those feelings.
>>
>>137147073
Doesn't just about every (worthwhile) emulator have sync anyway? I'm ignorant about latency though, what does RA do differently than others in this aspect?

>>137147515
No, just clueless about RA. I was wondering if it did anything I cared about better than any of the standalone emulators I already have configured and whatnot. (Mednafen, Mupen64Plus and Higan, they cover the systems I care about emulating.)

He's not talking about vsync, he's talking about the rate control that's applied to audio so that the emulation is perfectly synced to display. Without it, emulators will generally stutter, drop frames, or have gaps in the audio, depending on whether or not it is blocked on audio.

I'm trying to find a way to get per-core settings to stay set. The first thing I do to each core is set the browser directory. So:

>load mgba core
>set content folder to /GBA
>start any game then close so it will save
>load mupen64 core
>set folder, start/close etc
>load mgba core again
>it's still on the N64 content folder

I don't understand. This is literally exactly what some guy on Youtube does and it doesn't work for me. The core configs show their correct directories like you can see in that screenshot.

Because it technically doesn't load mGBA and your mGBA settings until you run a GBA ROM.

Furthermore, for personal, security, and competitive reasons, the source code to BWS will not be released to the public. But you can trust me that my emulator is very accurate. What's wrong? He'll drop balanced and performance from Higan. They'll be moved to bsnes, which will have all the stupid emulator features people complain about Higan not having.
>>
>>137203495

There's no reason to use accuracy because it only affects literally one game.

You're basically using 2-3 times more processing power for no visible accuracy benefits.

I don't know, but if it did, you could easily fix it by just running snes-hires-blend as your first shader pass.
>>
>>137186489
>>137187502
>>137190571

Are you using standalone? Because bsnes/higan standalone only supports integer scaling afaik. If you don't like that, use Retroarch with the bsnes core instead.
>>
>>137200345
I think that's maybe the secondary part of it (even though you can use a mouse in current RA but it isn't optimal), but partially the two things help each other. Less space between options makes it easier to glide from option to option with a mouse vs just a long list that is more designed for a controller
>>
>>137194047
What emulator is that?
>>
>>137179985
Well the "no public sourcecode" part doesn't make it shit, that's up to the quality of the code itself. If the system can get to a much better level of accuracy than it has at present, it will be a good non-Nintendo Wii U alternative.

I tried TiTAN's "*Finally*" demo on bws, it was a disaster at several parts. Their "Overdrive" demo is good too, which works well on Genesis Plus GX.

Theres some others:
* "Is There A Demo In Your Pocket?" by Snorpung (original Gameboy)
* "Mental Respirator" by Phantasy (Game Boy Colour)
* "It Came From Planet Zilog" by Phantasy (Game Boy Colour)
* "Matt Current" by Shitfaced Clowns (Game Boy Advance)
* "Smash It" by Elix (SNES)
* "Cenotaph" by Dual Crew & Shining (Game Boy Colour)
* Any decent C64 demo should work on VICE or Hoxsx64.

I patched Treasure of the Rudras with the translation patch using Lunar IPS but when I try to run it in bsnes mercury accuracy, it just shows a black screen.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

I've got at least two other games I want to do this with (seiken densetsu and Marvelous) and I would rather avoid having issues every time.
>>
>>137218997
Might be one of those patches that wasn't tested against real hardware, so it probably only works on Snes9x or ZSNES.
>>
>>137219069
I bet $5 it's supposed to work with a header rom, and you're using redump roms with no headers.

You can just use a hex editor to add 512 bytes to the beginning of the clean rom, and then patch it.

You might have to delete 512 bytes off the beginning again after it's patched, unless you want to build a valid header, or the patch completely overwrites the header.

I guess there's probably tools to do this automatically too, but I always just use a hex editor.
>>
>>137219069
Well that might be part of the problem.

I tried Snes9x Next and now I get sound but I still have a black screen. I don't know why a translation patch would fuck a rom so hard. Especially one that is as high profile as this.

Also, the rom I patched is from archive.org so the original rom shouldn't be the issue.
>>
>>137219732
I don't know. I loaded up the original rom just to see what it should look like when working and it seems to run fine.

Figured this was the best place to ask: How can I fix the sound in DeSmuME 0.9.7? It keeps skipping like a broken record and I wish to have it fixed somehow
>>
>>137220175
Being unheadered doesn't mean it's bad, it's actually better. It's just that the patch works by modifying specific addresses, so if the patch was made for a rom with a header, then it's not going to work on one without, or vice-versa.

I looked it up btw, and the patch does required a headered rom (not surprising since the final version was released in 2006) and archive.org roms don't have headers. So that is your problem, just do what I said here >>137219732

SP is either really bored or has some OCD for "cleaning", right? Has he ever coded something on his own from scratch or is he only capable of copypasting, refactoring, moving around other's code? Must be frustrating, I now understand why he is always so angry and defensive.

it's 'talented' with a 't'.

'talented devs', 'more productive things', like a 10.000 kickstarter for a GLN64 fork that manages to be worse than Glide64 after a year in development? Like a crappy LLE video plugin that still uses an OpenGL 1.4 feature set?

You are really a crappy asshole, start being more appreciative of people and be a bit more human instead of putting others down just because you have an autismal tendency to want to hate or put down people.

People don't work for you. Shut the fuck up and start evaluating your own life, pretty sure a guy who can sit on an imageboard trolling and harrassing people is a "social misfit" as well.
