Honestly, the biggest issue the game has is that 99% of the content is low level and piss easy. I'm not willing to go past 20min since I don't trust either my own internet or DEs netcode.
Here are some ideas:
Rebalance the content so Ceres & Pluto end up somewhere around lvl 60 instead of 40ish. Without changing the mods obv.
Make weather effects or daytime an actual part of the game.

Random environmental changes that can permanently affect your map
Have random squadrons spawn that try to fuck up your shit instead of the "HERE COMES THE BURSA" or similar events
Change the way drops work, there's literally nothing exiting about enemies dropping loot. No idea how, but do it
Either drastically improve of Archwings or get fucking rid of them. Think about how fun they could be.

When you're just starting out, any weapon is viable, and they all give you mastery, so just pick whatever's cool. Just don't invest any forma into things until endgame since re-leveling doesn't give mastery and by then you'll have a better idea of what weapons you like.
That said, Kohm is kind of a goofy gimmick shotgun, fun to use a few times but it's not really something you'll wanna keep around.
As far as frames go, just go for what you want, if you can use Volt and not die then Volt is fine until then. People who whine about you not using meta frames are just people who aren't good enough on their own and want you to carry them.

If anyone has some time, try to run it a few times, there are two phorids active right now and there's a pretty big difference between doing 250 runs and 1000 runs.

Tonk the Grineer themed explosives-oriented frame. Little flavor text blurb something about a grineer attempt to build upon a dead/heavily damaged warframe they found and strap on a bunch of armor and weapons. Basically it looks like Grineer armor.
1: Grenade Jump (instant) tonk throws a grenade at his feet and grenade jumps three times as high as a tonkor grenade jump takes you (you go where you're aiming at, if you aim straight down, you go straight up), perform a heavy impact with equivalent damage of the explosion that launched you; scales with power str; duration/range have no effect
2: Propaganda Drone (instant summon, limited duration); pops out of his backpack and hovers above tonk granting ROF and armor buffs and mild health regen to teammates in range. scales with str, range, eff, dur
3: Rocket uppercut (instant); little elbow rocket thing fires, and you can strike a single target for extreme damage at close range; you don't have to be "right up" to the, there's some range which you can be within which will allow you to "close in" to that enemy; which will NOT scale with range mods; but will be like 5 meters or something; otherwise if you're out of range you just can't cast it. If it doesn't kill them, it'll at least send them flying pretty damn far (blast damage; which scales with blast damage on ANY WEAPON YOU ARE CURRENTLY USING)
4: Exalted Tonkor (channeled) Tonk summons a spectral tonkor that does some base damage and whatever, but more importantly scales off of power strength and mods on your primary weapon (even if it isn't a tonkor), the summoned tonkor inherits all weapon mods (i.e. multishot, firestorm, elementals) and does not need to be reloaded, and does not consume ammunition. If your primary weapon happens to be a tonkor, you will dual wield your tonkor and the spectral tonkor and fire both simultaneously; neither consuming ammo or needing to be reloaded. (with your physical tonkor also getting the spectral one's boosted stats)

Real talk, the design of those vaults is fuckin' great. You can choose to play the vaults' games and open them up like they were supposed to, or abuse the time jumping to bypass the challenges altogether. I strongly suggest just taking your time and figuring things out yourself, 's genuinely fun.
