We know that AI revolts are an end game threat, if any empire delves too deep into AI techs.

I hope some of you still play Darkest Hour. I'm the guy that posts the peace without victory mod games if you saw them, you should pick it up, the start date is in 1920. So I redid Taiwan in HPM, reshaped provinces and added in one, as well as adding in Asian Minor Animist pops to represent the Taiwanese aboriginals. Now the Chinese are clustered along the western coastal plains and the mountainous interior is severely less populated.
The pop numbers are a rough estimate based on estimates of there being between 100 and 200 thousand aboriginals on the island at the time, and the 1930 census showing that they made up around 4% of the population.

Thanks to kind anon from yesterday's thread, I managed to mod a rich zoroastrian Persia, which managed to survive kebabs, but was pushed back by caliphate and then Timurids. The point is, I don't know much about EUIV gameplay and balance, so I have no idea, what ideas would be appropriate for a successor to the Sasanian Empire. Any ideas?

After playing through the tutorial and watching 1 1/2 hours out of some guys 3 hour tutorial series, I'm still not quite sure what HQs are for.
Is it a supply thing? Do all armies have to be connected to HQs, which are connected to higher HQs, all the way back to a theatre HQ? Do HQs cost anything and can I have too many of them?

Those are completely different scenarios though. The shitstorm over Crimea comes from Russia taking sudden and completely unilateral action against a different, sovereign state. To rub salt on the wound, it pretended it wasn't them while everyone knew what was happening, like a toddler with crumbles on his face denying he had eaten the cookies. An actual, proper comparison would've been the almost simultaneous Scottish referendum, that was negotiated between both parties, internationally supervised and everything else by the books. Now, I understand Scotland and Crimea were ALSO different scenarios - partially because Crimea couldn't, under Ukrainian law, vote to secede and/or join Russia. But Russia (or the Crimeans, who let's face it - had absolutely no say in what happened, even if they are happy that it did). But that's irrelevant in the wider scenario of international law. By doing what they did, Russia burned the bridge - no one else CAN accept the results because of how they were done.
And please, don't think you're fooling anyone with your "to protect Russians" bullshit - Russia invaded BEFORE the "referendum" (meaning they couldn't even know Crimeans supposedly wanted protection) and BEFORE the war in the east (meaning there wasn't even a "UKRAINIANS BOMB THE DONBAS THEY'LL BOMB CRIMEA AS WELL" excuse). And in hindsight, even that completely fails to deliver - Ukrainians regained most of the area seized by the supposed rebels and there has been no "genocide of Russian speakers" of any sort (except in propaganda stories like the crucified boy in Sloviansk).

Keep in mind there's a vanilla bug about saving and reloading during a war that causes some weird puppet behavior, like puppeting a country and the country not showing as a puppet. This is usually fixed by completely exiting the game, to the desktop, and starting it again. Try that.

I have another update, since I realize that the start game pops and the ones of the vanilla census event doesn't match up, there's a 54k pops difference in 1837 (yes I counted Neuchâtell) also I wanted to fixed the assimilation
New changes for V4
1- Increased the population of Switzerland region to match up with the event of the 1837 census.
2- Jewish literacy increased from 10% to 80%.
3- Changed the pops culture yet again to create more homogeneous provinces.
4- Added more North German landowners to Neuchâtel.
5- Assimilation option restore(see the Swiss Cultures Minimod with Assimilation Readme) It's completely optional.

If you use the national focus to encourage for example craftsmen and Ukrainian pops have no Ukrainian craftsmen to promote to, they will assimilate to Poles due to how Vicky POP merging mechanics work. Low literacy of pops you want to assimilate helps immensely. If you don't have accepted culture POPs you can shut down factories in your cores and the craftsmen will move to provinces where there's work.
