>out of tens of thousands of trying, that are successful on PC

Why go for mobile? You can't get visibility unless you spend a lot of money on marketing, you can't sell a premium game and expect to have more than 5 downloads and if you go f2p ads won't make you any money. The only way to make it on mobile is to have top notch art, marketing and a fucking addictive jackass monetization scheme.

In comparison to PC where you can pay 100$ to get into greenlight, make a niche game for a niche audience, email games media and youtubers and sell tens of thousands of copies of a game thats priced at 5-10$.

ALRIGHT everything works now. Instead of the retarded system I had last night which used a usable gun prefab and a pickup gun prefab, pickups are now always the same weapon being exchanged and used. There's much less bloat and the whole architecture is just rendered stronger.

I also cleaned up the code in the same way since I was giving commands when using the aim button on both the player and the weapons. This is now all on the player's script.

Now it's time to make spooky skeletons that can dance and be killed and also drop weapons. I'll make visibly lose bones as they lose HP and then blow up when they die.

Depends on the way of fighting, but I'll assume it's just simple fisticuffs and violence:
Hooligan
Martial artist/fighting sport practitioner
Sociopath/mentally deranged
Drunkard
Police/SWAT/military

These are the only types I can think of that are willing to use violence in modern day society, without belonging to some idealistic group (cult or terrorist). Maybe too realistic for you, but I've been studying for a sociology test, so that's what you get.

I FINALLY SOLVED MY PROBLEM WITH THE LAYERS!

I needed to add registry keys that tell the Vulkan loader where to find them.

Also, I'm finding the workflow of writing code in Sublime, generating a solution via CMake, and building/debugging in VS to not be that bad.

Some engines/libraries use Z as up, try rotating around the Y
>>
Hello guys, i'm new to this whole game making stuff and i have some questions.
I'm using right now the Game Maker engine, i know how to code in C but i can't draw, i'm fucking bad at drawing. Is it ok to create generic sprites and when the game is completed pay an artist or some shit? It seems like a pretty obvious question, but how about the hitboxes on these new sprites? they'll stay the same?

Also, which resolution should i create my Rooms in game maker? i'm using the 1024x768. Is this the resolution my game will run?

Now the last question is:
how do i create a big room, like a world map, that the player should keep walking to discover it?

forgive my english and these shitty questions

You'll have to go back and bugfix things when you make the asset switch, don't worry about it, just get the foundation working. Tweaking sizes and everything will be trivial then.

People making complex games move away from Unity after getting fed up dealing with all of the kludges/hacks to work around Unity bugs and issues.

People making simple games move towards Unity after getting fed up doing so much work creating tools and libraries instead of just making games.

Why not? Unity is terrible at 2D games, especially tile-based ones.

You said it yourself that you were having trouble with tile movement - that's not something that should ever happen unless you're completely incompetent.
>>
>>135644364

>>135644412
Yes, and I tried a lot of times to recreate just a small bit of SS13 in GM. GM ID system is real fucking shit, I had a lot of trouble with it. And it's a horrible engine for games with lots of items on and offscreen

Plus, multiplayer on GM is a joke

Not it's not. People just don't know how to make them properly in a 3D engine, it's not just about slapping quads around.
>>
>>135644738
I'm more familiar with Unity. You are right, for this purpose I should choose another engine, or just a library. But I only know C# and a bit of GML, currently learning Javascript. I don't think I can make a good game with Javascript
