I have this friend who pretty much only plays ranked and it's so fucking noticeable in his play. He basically thinks cycling between various unsafe options at all times makes for good mixups. Mobas and other team games have really long matches, most are between 40 and 60 minutes. Plenty of time to get used to your opponent. In ranked you only get 2 or 3 rounds. If ranked was at least a bo3 I might play it. If I lose 4 games without adapting then I probably don't deserve that win.
Just won my first SFIV match after 18 losses. I'm not feeling confident with my character at all though (Juri). I know her combos and can execute them perfectly in training, but in matches nothing seems to flow together. That said, I got a perfect on the match I won.

She's a little more complex and requires a little more work to succeed with than a fair few other characters, but a lot of new players always pick her because she's their waifu or some shit. Then they end up like this and either never progress or quit.
Not saying it's going to happen to you, but Juri has been claiming new players for 6 years now.

Well, she's a character that looks interesting to many new players and there are a lot of shitty Juris around who essentially just fish for ultras with divekicks.
The character however is a very similar zoning/footsie character than Ryu, she just has more tools that are worse.
This means the player has to choose the right one for each situation which is way harder than choosing between crouching mk and crouching mk with Ryu.

That is like the only downside on left hand. I am doing Millia stuff and both her IAD combos and dash buffering is easier. Like 5 minutes and I've got everything consistent. I honestly feel like an idiot for not playing with pad in the first place.

Just watching my most recent one was really helpful desu. Saw a lot of spots where I should have fireballed, a lot of c.mk into an unsafe pinwheel which I need to fix and I need to learn some hit confirm strings instead of just using mp and sweep in the neutral. Also noticed I was getting beat in air to air. What is Juri's best air to air? Or should I just wait and use c.mp or c.hk?

If you're on PS4 just use the share button after watching the replays and then trim them down with the built in editor. Save them on a usb or just upload directly to youtube after you're done. Also medium punch is her best air to air because of the combo potential afterwards.
