Headcanon: The Nuclear Throne allows whoever sits on it to control the level portals of your world.
The way this ties into the legends is it allows the mutants to seek out a world where the apocalypse never happened; however, the world of the I.D.P.D. is that world, with its own throne (which the captain sits on). Naturally, the I.D.P.D. don't want their world to get overrun, hence why they start making efforts to stop you as you start getting close to the throne.
When you sit on the throne, the Captain realizes that your first move will be to call your friends together from the campfire to show them you reached the throne, so they take over the campsite in order to ambush you when you open the portal expecting friends, only to get a swarm of I.D.P.D. Rogue was tasked with leading the ambush using the Portal Strike, an experimental weapon brought out due to your striking power, but Rogue used this opportunity to defect instead.
When you loop the game, destroying the generators destabilizes the throne's portal-controlling capabilities, which causes you to incidentally end up surprising the very ambush the I.D.P.D. had planned for you.
This also results in reciprocating effects on your universe, where the enemies get scattered across the world and the crowns change. By the time you get back to the throne room, the throne has just barely managed to re-stabilize its control on the world, hence why the generators take many less hits than they did on the first loop.
Due to your power growing to immense levels, the I.D.P.D. up the ante on attempting to take you down, sending in their elite troops, vans full of units, and tailing you constantly out of the fear that if you take the throne, you will destroy their world, not knowing their very efforts are what causes you to see them as hostile, and that the lingering portal energy required to transport a whole van could be their own undoing.

I'm pretty sure the origin of the Throne is that it's supposed to be some means for the Mutants to repair the world, but it's actually some super creature.
I remember one anon came up with a theory that the Throne wants to stop you, but doesn't care if you sit on it, but if you destroy the generators it starts going all out, by attacking much more fiercely, and even ripping open a portal to an alternate timeline, causing all of the timelines to destabilize and collapse into that one dimension. The IDPD know this is going to happen so they send everything imaginable to stop you and keep you from obliterating all timelines.

Maybe not explicitly, but he's probably just too, so to say, smart for the mutants since he was a scientist, and doesn't socialize on their level very well. Probably awkward or interjects with really astute observations which cut any on going conversations dry.

I was thinking probably more along the lines of highly curious and inventive. Not explicitly emotionless, he'd likely show some slivers of care for the others, but the thing that makes his character to me is that no one really knows if he's legit, or if his friendliness is inherently programmed somehow.

In terms of the mutants, she's likely been with them for a while, and while they're receptive to her, she probably feels the odd one out because she's still a normie. Warms up to them sometimes maybe but questions everything she's been through.

Kinda like the father figure of the group. A cool pops kind of character that's really laid back and knows friendly, but knows how to deal with things in both the reasonable AND hard way, if you know what I mean. Likely, along with Crystal and Rebel, a lot of the reason and logic to the collective. Probably spends most of his time playin' blues and likes on his guitar, coming up with new songs, and sleeps in pretty hard whenever he can. He's supposed to be on retirement, after all. If there's every any kind of problem, along with Crystal, he's probably the #1 to go to, and likely the one to fix it, even if it means really getting in there.

My personal favorite of the group, probably the most cool and collected one, but probably does spend her time away from the other mutants going around the wasteland, not scavenging per se, but looking for something worth her while and looking for a new challenge, any challenge, in any form. Probably the one with the most conviction to go after the throne, as she'd want things to be right and organized again. Not sure how to handle the whole allies thing. If we're going for a slightly more real interpretation, and a not "her flesh falls off and becomes another being" look, she probably has two smaller buds (like the Personal Guard ultra) that are constantly with her. Doesn't socialize well, but knows how to reason, and always has a guiding sense of what to do.

Is it possible to discover "post-loop" weapons before looping if the adjusted difficulty is high enough? For example, if I visit the Pizza Sewers and Crown Vault, could i find a 1-1 L1 weapon in the 7-3 weapon chest? Can you find golden and ultra weapons at Y.V.'s crib if you haven't looped yet?

If you're not confident, take Hammerhead to clear out a larger area to fight him or dig yourself a safe space. Scarier Face makes the fight a lot easier. Look for a Super Crossbow, Assault Slugger, Minigun, Energy melee weapon, Cluster launcher, or anything else that's high damage to rip his asshole open.

I got in a sticky situation in the lab and was trying to mash right click to blow up as many corpses as possible. I had a bazooka equipped with trigger fingers and I was going crazy cause I had boiling veins and only 2 hp still, but apparently I turned into skeleton at some point and my right click mashing ended up damaging me because of skeletons new active. Without Throne Butt, you'd ALWAYS lose health when using Blood Gamble, since the Gun Gun uses 40 bullets, which is bigger than your average bullet ammo pick up, 32 bullets.

It is released. The release was shit and rushed because of Sony contracts and they thought they could make it due to some shitty event. But it's done now. It's no longer EA. Dreaming up new bosses and characters is as autistic as wishing for a patch that would add more bosses and a new class to Dark Souls. Maybe later when they decide to do a DLC or something like FTL did with the free AE, but not so shortly after release.

Skeleton is a secret character gotten by dying as Melting when in a Necromancer Portal.
He has 4 health, but goes back to Level 1, is slower and less accurate.
His active is Blood Gamble, which lets you shoot without using ammo, but you have a chance based on how much ammo the weapon uses to take damage.
The chance is decided by:

over
>How much an ammopack of that ammo type gives.
Which means some ammo-heavy weapons will always hurt you, unless you have Throne Butt, which adds a 1/3 chance to not take damage.

So here goes my ideas for those
Passive - Scuttle - can cling to walls and still be hit , will move faster when attached to a wall, very fucking fast but cannot fire, double tapping movement in the opposite direction will take you off the wall
Active - Acid spit - Has an ammo system of 8 with a octagon like spiderweb next to health bar like Rouge, will deal 1 damage every 1 second for 3 seconds but can stack, you gain more "ammo" for this system every 5 enemies you kill
Throne butt - Predator - When Scuttling on a wall and a enemy is inflicted with acid spit you can pounce on them and gain 1 second of ALL damage invulnerability , also increases the acid spit DoT to 5 seconds
Ult A - Sense extended - Can shoot while scuttling on walls
Ult B - Heart burn - Acid spit size increased and dot time increased by 3 seconds

the ones you have for melting and horror are kind of bad, and steroids' is just a weaker eagle eyes
from what i've got:
eyes: can see the contents of chests before he opens them
melting: rads last longer and deal damage to enemies that touch them
yv: piercing shots
steroids: innately automatic weapons fire faster
horror: rads have a chance to heal (encourages beam use as well, esp. with throne butt)
rogue: popo have 30% less health, stacks with scarier face
robot's would fall off hard in loops, which ties into another, more major change that i've been thinking about

I know he's probably the shittiest character in the game, but if you get really lucky with mutations and weapon drops he's pretty fun.
Seriously, I roll Eyes with a Golden Wrench, and I try to get any of these mutations that I can:
Trigger Fingers
Gamma Guts
Euphoria
Throne Butt
Long Arms
Rabbit Paw
Scarier Face
You obviously don't have to get them all, but the more you get, the better. Then you literally just hold down the right mouse button the whole time and smack anything that comes near you while being completely invulnerable to bullets because they'll be pushed away. If you have Long Arms and Trigger Fingers, and manage to find a shovel you'll also have the benefit of being a whirling dervish of death and destruction who can swing his shovel dozens of times in succession.
It's really, really rare to get a good run as Eyes, but when you do, he's really fun, which is why I consider him actually worth playing despite being the shittiest character by a mile.

I normally try to have a really powerful weapon that can kill him very fast in very few shots like the heavy crossbow, super crossbow, bazooka, plasma cannon, energy sword, energy hammer, energy screwdriver and then just kill him as soon as he lands. Ofcourse me personally, I find Little Hunter to be a more threatening boss than the Nuclear Throne, and usually consider a run won after I get by him, as long as I don't get shitty RNG on 7-1 or 7-2 and spawn surrounded by radiation dogs.
