When I did SoR stuff, there was a ton of solo Flashpoints. How would those work with 2? Would we be expected to do tactical with our comps?
Does KoTFE work at all with multiple people? I really don't see how it'd fly with 2 chosen ones.

Lucasfilm story group, for the first time, helped write the story for TOR when Kotfe came out. Why, right before the new movie and new canon, would they basically legitimize BioWare's version of Star Wars? Because they wanna make it canon. You can tell the xpac had help from Lucas film too, because the quality and story telling was top notch compared to all the other shit. They basically took Vitiate, rebooted him, and improved the story. Valerian is such a different Emperor from Vitiate they might as well be two separate Emperors.

Guys I'm having a terrible time deciding if I want to do the expansion content with my Operative or my Juggernaut.
The problem is I hate Operative gameplay, but I like my character's personality, voice actor, and story background. I also like the idea of taking down force users with gadgets and trickery. Because I like my IA, when I play him, I feel like "yes, I want to see this man's saga continue". But Operative as a class is a boring fucking chore to use in combat and I mentally groan any time I can't stealth past an encounter.
I love the gameplay on my Sith Warrior, but I hate the character. It seemed like regardless or whether I picked light or dark side choices, he had to over-dramatize everything he said and often came across as a fedoralord. I enjoy the gameplay but whenever I'm in story cutscenes all I can think is "I really don't like this guy".
I guess the alternative is to progress with neither, and find a class where I like the character/story AND the gameplay, but that isn't necessarily going to happen.
What do you guys think?

Because I feel like I barely use any abilities with my operative. Backstab, veiled strike, poison dart, volatile substance, and spam lacerate over and over until dead. Occasionally I might use exfiltrate to dodge an ability. It feels very shallow and I'm not really doing much in a given fight.
With Juggernaut I'm leaping in with force charge, CCing enemies with force push and force choke, stacking bleeds with impale and shatter, spreading bleeds with vengeful slam, throwing lightsabers at distant targets, executing enemies with savage throw, proccing free savage throws and critical force screams, abusing sweeping strike's extra damage on bleeding targets.
Or if I'm specced for rage I'm spamming force charge/obliterate whenever possible (refreshing the cooldown with force push) to trigger critical raging bursts/free screams. I'm using force crush to proc extra damage on my smash or raging burst, etc. Some of those maybe be slightly erroneous because I specced out of rage and into vengeance a while ago. But the point remains that SW gameplay feels much more varied and dynamic and I have a lot of options to take per GCD whereas with operative there's often only one sensible option per GCD.
I should note that I'm purely doing story content and I have no interest in operations or PvP, which in Operative's case probably accounts for the lack of ability usage.

Like I started playing this game maybe a week ago (after seeing the new starwars, I've known about TOR for a while, I liked the kotors, but never really tried TOR, but it's f2p now and start wars so hey why not)
Zero grinding, just doing story missions and sometimes some sidequests that are in the same general area; I just abandon stuff that wasn't in the same general area or that I didn't get while doing main questline when I leave the planet.
I've been CONSISTENTLY 'overleveled'
like I just got to the "go to taris" part, and I'm level 40. It's been more or less the same for the previous missions. The "Level scaling" thing doesn't seem to do much honestly; you still seem to have an overwhelming advantage over natively 'at that level' enemies, not that I'm complaining, some progression is nice.
Anyways, leveling up seems very fast for storymode f2p thus far, unless I haven't hit the "wall" yet, or if the wall was recently removed.

As a sub I use it as a quicktravel point. I pretty much start my session there and end it there. Your inventory full? Teleport to stronghold, sell useless items, list valuable shit on gtn, store shit for later in bank and return to previous location.
It's also where you have access to the legacy bank. I use the legacy bank mainly for extremely valuable shit, crafting materials, legacy bound stuff, endgame gear shared between alts in legacy shells.
Can you play without a stronghold? You certainly can. It just makes stuff easier if you have a lot of alts.

I read about it on some wiki at some point, and I think there might have been some kind of proper first interaction to get her to be more approving of more sith-y behavior

It just hit me and I just checked on a pub character, it's a holonet terminal that has "news" about Corellia and the mission takes from there, not a guy, also yellow mission not purple as I said.
But double checking on an imp character it's definitively not there anymore on the imp fleet, what the fuck.

They changed the gearing system for pvp and reduced the grind immensely. Once you are optimized and augmented 208 you are done. Ranked warzones aren't used for gearing outside the daily and weekly mission. You use the comms from ranked warzones to buy the previous season's ranked rewards if you didn't get a high enough rating.
This change was probably brought on because certain classes like mercs are so irrelevant that only 5 mercs qualified for weapon reward while some 500 sorcs qualified for the weapon reward.

The boost is often too small to make a difference in time to achieve it. I usually get the personal conquest purely from doing 40 warzones on one character. A 10% boost would require 2 less warzone wins. And if GSF is your thing it rewards 500 points per match. Every other week it also rewards I think 1000 per win.
