Bros, I got it on sale and have been powering through the JK story. Why does this game crash my PC once or twice a day I play? It'll either freeze up and make me restart the computer or my PC will just reset on its own. Didn't start until SWTOR and so far SWTOR is the only game it happens in. larp and tabletop are avenues properly designed for roleplaying. videogames have never been very good at it, partly due to how you can't properly play a role of your choosing without stepping outside of the program. However, if your imagination feels restricted by the program or predetermined story the game sets out for you, then yeah. Maybe mmorpgs are not the proper avenue for you to roleplay in.
The reason there are roleplay servers in mmos are for those people who don't feel bound to their character's restrictions to the story. The developers understand that people will break out of their storylines on some level and end up taking their creativity and applying it to their character in communities such as SWTOR, WoW and other MMOs with offical/unoffical roleplay servers that the community thrives in.

My plan for eventually playing through all 8 stories was to have one of each advanced class, but I don't know if I can stomach a Gunslinger/Sniper. I played my Agent up to 20 or so as an Operative, and enjoyed it a lot; rogue classes are always a good time. I'm messing with my Smuggler a bit now, and oh man did I forget how shitty cover is. It's like BioWare gave up on the concept halfway through and stopped populating the world with cover.

My Sith Warrior is around 66% Dark and 33% Light (a bit like the "ideal" choices regarding the prisoners on Korriban, actually). Full Dark Side is chaotic stupid. So someone asks for help setting up a guild. They got 3 members, just need one more to create it.
I join, help them get the ball rolling. Only one of them is max level. They ask me for help recruiting, they ask for my advice on naming the ranks for the rp theme, they promote me to officer and ask me to set up an rp event on the weekend and get everyone on the same page.
I spend maybe 2 hours just doing crafting stuff and managing all this crap in chat. It's dinner time so I log off for 30 minutes.
I come back, and everyone left the guild, I'm the only one in it. I messaged someone whose name I recognized in general chat and they said that when I left, there was an argument about who was really in charge and the whole group imploded and they left.
So now I have a guild I'm in charge of. Should I try running a guild or just laugh and move on with my life?
