Fair enough, but good color sense can get you a LOOONG way even with unskilled low-effort programmer art.

There is an indescribable allure to MothDan which science has yet to explain. Then again he does come from /x/. He might be an actual monster. Like many demons it is safest to just not speak of him too often or he is liable to show up and possess posters who then roll around on the floor foaming from the mouth about "danny".

Best to ignore him, he has some vendetta against AGDG for some terribly unknown reason, he tried to get the thread deleted once after hr got banned, but that didn't work so he's destroying it from the inside.

iirc he came insisting he was gonna clean up the place from the start, going on about a "crusade against nodevs"

obviously no one took him seriously so he started getting more and more agitated until now where he has consistent meltdowns about people who do actually try to make vidya gaems, threatens to call the cops on people, compiles images of random twitter posts, lots of fun stuff

You installed the CD drivers, didn't you?

Someone compared Wacom to Apple and I think it's an apt comparison. They're very overpriced for the hardware you get but "it just werks". Whereas other companies are like android, where some personal troubleshooting may be required but it's a much better value for the hardware.

Well, you control a smiling face and the objective is pretty simple: Get to the exit of the maze without dying while trying to achieve the highest score possible to unlock more levels. Once it's loaded into a mobile device, the game gets the coordinates of the accelerometer to drag the smiling face to the bottom of the screen, so you basicaly move the face by moving your phone. This can't be achieved in PC, the only way to move it there is by clicking in a point of the screen which makes it a lot easier. Thats why I'm not showing any webms.
>>
>>126859089
So, basically those old ball bearing or rings-in-fluid puzzles, but on the phone? Neato. I wouldn't buy it but I could see it being a popular tablet timewaster if it has a good A E S T H E T I C.

>>126857069
A data type is a type defined in terms of its constructors, and you can use it for recursion. A codata type is a type defined in terms of its eliminators and you can use it for corecursion. For example, a list is data, while an infinite stream is codata. You can think of a non-recursive data type as a union, and a non-recursive codata type as a struct. The distinction is important because it allows the compiler to check that the program is not going to run into an infinite loop or go out of bounds.

I've had it for around four years now, and aside from the shitty pen, it was well worth the price. It's probably one of the best inexpensive tablets out there.

If you're looking for a cheap tablet that gets the job done AND won't break on you within a week, I'd definitely recommend it.

A reworked obstacle - dynamic highrises.
Those used to look like pretty detailed and representational office blocks, but abstract shapes are really the way to go for this game.
Things like these are intended to work as a sort of climb/buildup before an intense and fast drop.
You can just skip the section by going the ground route but you'll miss out on points and will have to take a nastier route in the drop.

that's really weird because by your logic, the entire world should be driving ferraris. and yet, the entire world is driving shitty hondas and toyotas. gee i wonder why that is?

you're really confused about what marketing means. demand is reach * probability of purchase where probability of purchase has to do with price of your game, the price of similar products, the proposees budget and some other things. your reach is how many people you managed to make a proposal of purchase to, which is basically marketing. what i'm saying here is that not everyone you're proposing to will make a purchase and the more people perceive your game to be a bad value proposal, the less likely they actually are to make a purchase. in other words, if you show your game to somebody and your video game is appropriately priced for that certain somebody, the somebody is gonna demand to exchange his money for your video game.

tl;dr your game is bad value and you have to cut your price. you're competing with every video game out there and right now, i can buy civ 5 with all the addons for $10.

>>
>>126865974
For a jump like in the mario games, you do the following

>have jump speed constants A and B
>A is the speed your player gets once he jumps (example -30)
>B is some other value way lower than A, almost 0 (example -2)
>Gravity variable which is added to the players y velocity every frame (example 10)

>when player presses jump and is on the ground, set y velocity to A
>if player releases the jump button and his current y velocity is less than B, it means he's still going up. If this happens set the velocity to B so he stops going up
>if players going down when he releases the jump button, do nothing

For a good movement, you need friction. You code the movement so that the player goes from maximum horizontal speed to 0 in two frames max.

Show me your models now senpai.

Skeletal Miku is a way better reference since you can actually see the important details on it and it's not in a weird angle.
Using a 3d model made by someone else as reference will only serve you to make an inferior version of it.
If he doesn't like the proportions of skeletal Miku he can always commission a character sheet of his liking or make one himself.

Is it better to model a building as a whole in Blender, or assemble it from its constituent pieces (walls, doors, etc) in the engine? The second will no doubt be a lot easier, but I want to do what's right, not necessarily what's easy. Adding a whole bunch of objects that the game needs to keep track of won't help performance, I assume

Generally speaking the opposite is true.
By splitting objects, the engine will be able to cull the ones which aren't visible and improve performance, as opposed to having one massive model which will all always exist.
Smaller models are also better for re-usability
