No, for all intents and purposes, KSP should be considered still in early access state.
The game is nowhere near being able to stand on its own legs both from a gameplay perspective (career mode is definitely not ready and balanced) and a stability perspective.
There are still major bugs and memory leaks that shouldn't exist on a finished game.

Bugs and instability are still real and frequent problems, as with every product still in beta. Ask in thread for details.

Modified versions of popular mods are being included in the stock game while the game engine is being upgraded to its latest version. The next major update (1.1) is supposedly going to bring a complete overhaul of the GUI, be 64bit friendly, have a refined physics/heating/aero model and generally perform better.
An external team with heavily questionable experience (Flying Tiger Entertainment) is being tasked with porting the game to PS4, XboxOne and Wii U. They seem to be rushing for an imminent deadline and they are also working on a version of the game that will be obsolete in a few weeks/months.

KSP is very enjoyable at first, then it usually needs to be modded to retain some sort of longevity, but doing so may dramatically increase the instability of the game. You will be very familiar with the word "Oops!".
The Developers, Squad, have shown many times that they can't handle the project and are trying to squeeze all the money they can with the least amount of effort and with controversial PR tactics.
The general consensus at /kspg/ is that you shouldn't purchase the game, not because the game itself is unplayable, but because most of us agree that Squad does not deserve your money.

Guys I need assistance.
I am a computer retard so please bear with my ignorance.
Basically I have this very basic laptop with a whopping 20GB of internal storage. Of those 20, about 15 are reserved for the OS (win 8.1) and a small portion of stuff that I need.
Now, I fell for the win10 meme and wanted to be part of the botnet.
The problem is win10 needs 15GB of free space, which I obviously don't have. I was expecting it to replace most of the win8 stuff and take advantage of the space left from the previous OS, but that is not the case apparently.
So, my question is: can I use the SD slot to expand my memory capacity with something suitable for win10?
Say I put a 32GB sdcard, can I install win10 in there instead of installing it in the computer itself? Is this possible, and if yes, will I get worse performance if the computer has to boot from an SD every time?
Explain this like you would with a 5yo, I don't even know if I used every term right.

It's highly unlikely that you will be able to boot directly from an SD card. However I can't actually think of a reason why you couldn't have a small boot partition on the hard disk which points to the Windows 10 installation on the SD. However, Windows 10 will probably complain bitterly about being installed to an SD so I ultimately wouldn't expect success.

It has gotten complicated now. We have multiple stakeholders.
I'll start by saying what I really think.
All these little "do this to make career better" changes do not make sense and do not improve the game.
Now is the time to show Turkey the benefits of hard choices.
Max ruined this game by making it two games and segregating the fanbase because he's the next Notch, so now we're at a fork in the road that career mode forces.
My personal feelings? Career should be dropped complete. I'm guessing some of you disagree and I almost know for a fact Squad will refuse to throw out "three years of work" but I see it as the only saving grace for KSP

Do it properly, finish the game, then maybe use the spare time to make a kampaign mode that has a lot of elements of career but less of the "fuck it we're going to make a shitty user experience and sell it to 5 year olds then blame the players"
Career mode is a false paradigm. Any work done within it will degrade the overall quality of the game and take valuable dev time. To move the game forward and complete it, the only solution is to drop career, and perhaps reintegrate parts of it into a Kampaign mode.And just for shits and giggles, will someone explain to me why sandbox couldn't have had mission contracts, preferably without using the phrase "adds nothing"?

Apart from the Kerbal cost thing it seems like you don't really give any suggestions on how to improve things. You say what you want the end-goal to be (thinking about your rocket at every step) but don't provide anything to get to that point. This has the effect of diminishing the criticisms by making them seem like whining.
On the Kerbal cost thing, you seem to have completely missed rescue contracts. From what I can tell, Kerbal costs were made to scale so harshly to encourage the player to do actual gameplay things (making a rescue rocket, flying the rescue rocket) to get more crew. There are other problems with the Kerbal acquiring system (like skill-levels) that you didn't touch on either. On the plus side you did provide suggestions for improvements. I will say that a periodic paycheck is a fucking stupid idea in a game with timewarp since it punishes the player for wanting to skip a long orbital transfer (for example) to doing something fun by taking away a bunch of the players money when they do that. Time-based mechanics are a whole other deal entirely because of timewarp, and I suggest saving things like that for a separate writeup.

I could argue those fall in the same grinding mechanics the rest of career has: have no money? Grind a bunch of tourist contracts and the do what you want. Have no kerbals? Grind a bunch of rescue contracts where you can't choose what kind of specialisation the kerbal has and then do what you want.
I didn't go great lenght about detailed solutions, I'm not a developer and I know shit how to Balance things, I thought the few suggestions on how to change part stats and the examples I made were enough, someone better at me with ideas can fill up the gaps I left I guess.
I purposely left out skill levels (and a lot of other stuff) because I wanted to focus on the money part for this pastebin, but it is definitely a point to add for other write-ups.

I'm not sure if courage and stupidity would really add anything to the game if you used them for things like that. Making stupidity effect science gains means you only hire non-stupid Kerbals, or you select non-stupid Kerbals for flights. That's just busywork that gets in the way of the player actually doing fun stuff, and also punishes them if they don't know about it or forget to do it. Punishment for not doing something unfun doesn't sound great to me.

Many work until 30th of December - our holiday week comes later and goes until 11th of January. I don't know many people celebrating the Orthodox Christmas in January either, we're all godless commies I guess. We have some strange holiday attributes too - for example, Russians have a weird, inexplicable craving for tangerines this time of the year, and we put them in a basket under the Christmas tree for the kids to eat.
Myself I'm still working too, as well as spending some time in the city looking for the last few remaining gifts I wanted to get. The weather is pure shit, we got +6C and no snow this time around, but maybe it'll change for the better over the weekend, but the city is still pretty comfy right now, with all the lights and decorations everywhere, so those are enjoyable walks.
