Quick rule overview:
- PvP is opt-in between two (or more) consenting parties. Period. Only exception: the gravwell of Arrakis.
- Only one drill per player. Take the Large Ship Earthbreaker, it's a good drill.
- Keep Welders/Grinders to a minimum. Not talking about your average small welder with 8 Compacts, but avoid grind/weld platforms.
- Talk to me if you have issues. Don't just shitpost on /egg/, talk to me.

Planned features:
- New & final Arrakis. Will draw the map over the holidays.

How the fuck do I get a helicopter work like this? I've tried everything, but all that happens is it starts spinning, then flips over. I put props to counter rotate, but it just slows down the spinning by a small margin.
Any of you know how to keep it from spinning?

I forgot to save. But it was using ballasts and struts for main structure, and had a pole going up, with 2 spin blocks spinning the blade. Looked similar to pic related, scale may of been off, but looked okay. But it won't fucking fly. Least not as intended. If you know how the little contraption in the center works, please tell me. I'm gone now, and not in game, but the hole takes up about a quarter to a third of my screen from there. I jumped into it and reached 20km/s and 96,000 g while orbiting at the centre. The speed and gravity was still increasing when I ended up dying of oxygen.

put a few missiles of two blocks length with:

variable thruster set to 1500(or more, wont work below 1000)
fuel tank
fins
missile interceptor head(dont remember the name, could be a nothe)


dont forget to link them to a missile weapon controller and a identify friend-foe block

Put an ACB(Automated Control Block) neacr the missile weapon controler, set to pic related(hostile missile closer than... and Activate weapon systems, and 500-1000 range)

If you build bigger missiles put on them more fins

I have it turned off because it consumes a fuckload of power and I'll only be using it for long-distance (interplanetary) communication in brief intervals. Also, it has a minimum elevation of like 30 degrees, so it won't be able to connect to anything else on Lali that isn't at least several hundred meters off the ground.

When did you ask me on the server? Sorry if I missed it - it's painfully easy to miss large amounts of text in the Spengies chat window, due to no background color and autistic levels of focus on building.

I connected them physically because I planned to have a conveyor line running between them. I'll snip out the cargo features since the pipeline is a problem, though. Also going to see about replacing sequential armor blocks with ramps and panels when the layout is finalized, in order to optimize block count.

Heliblade spinners do produce lift without power, but can be set to draw engine power too. So on my zeppelins I have large, unpowered "hydrogen sack" spinners that produce lift without drawing engine power and a couple of spinners that provide propulsive power that draw engine power.

Using this method I got my 6000 block zeppelins with no other form of propulsion to go at like 12ms on less than 400 engine power.

Water produces lots of drag which slows down shells making them much less likely to hit, missiles thrusters don't work under water and most kinds of mines are set to float, also lasers diffuse so fast under water they're useless.

As a result a good quantity of weapons are useless against submarines, plunging fire from airships with cannons and torpedoes are the major threats and it's a general rule of thumb that the deeper you are the safer you are.

Submarines are easily dealt with by aircraft using a slightly modified smart bomb for surface targets.

best solution i found is easy automation script.
its a scrip who puts on a "list" all aviable blocks and what can you do with them, and even very specific task, very important in rotors.
and you can use the same code for various tasks using the same code, but changing the argument, but using the same in all you can fit in a timer, making them 1 by 1, or just put a lcd screen and insert the commands there as private text.

This most recent update has seen an insane increase in the amount of fliers, bombers especially. I feel like plasma needs more direct hit damage and less splash damage. Bombers will still have the advantage over ground units, but it wouldn't be such a glaring difference.

There's also the problem of fliers being disabled and then coming back less than 20 seconds later, fully healed and ready to continue harassing you. Makes me wish there was some sort of fall/impact damage so that there would be a chance that disabling them like that would result in a kill instead of only a temporary setback for them. It's total bullshit for ground units because if a flier gets shot down in the right spot they're completely safe unless you have an air unit paying attention to move in for the kill.

So I made some 18mm ACCs to fuck up the OW but they dont seem to do nearly enough damage to make them better than my old explosive-y custom cannons. Then again they are smaller, how much bigger can I make them before reaching the DPS ceiling? Should I make them bigger or have lots on each boat?
