Yeah that won't really work. You also can't take cold penetration + frostbite, which kind of defeats the purpose of a crit build.
Critting with ice damage is much better than with chaos.
On top of that your tree has NO DEFENSE.
Just nothing at all. Ice crash is still melee, you will have to get increased AoE and use it like a ranged attack like this.
Also you're forgetting that it only converts 50% off phys damage and it scales off phys. So you want at least 400% increased phys damage for decent scaling on the elemental nodes (which also affect hatred herald of ash and increased fire damage btw).
You won't reach 60k dps with that lol, you'll reach 30k or so in a 5-6L but it will be a lot of chaos and chaos sucks since a lot of bosses have chaos resistance. With ice crash white and blue mobs shouldn't be a problem but rather bosses.
And your build just lacks the survivability. If you're going to run around you kill melee white mobs and white archer mobs will shoot down your health extremely fast so you need to go back and mapping takes a whole lot longer due to needing to be careful. You need either armor or iron reflexes with ice crash imo.
The elemental damage shadow start is pretty nice actually though for ice crash as you likely reach 400% phys damage total from nodes anyway.

We have an act three and four now. Depending on which part of the beta you joined in, the endgame's either still the same or shittier than what you had before. The building is still the same. Path for the most life while grabbing damage and defenses on the way. Pretty much every skill will let you farm endgame content. Not every skill does so quick or efficient. Skill gems can be purchased from vendors now, so that's handy. You don't have to worry about buying everything in order to run your shit. Freezing pulse and spork are shit now. Melee is actually good. If you ever raced back in beta and obtained a demigod or two you can RMT it to pay your rent. As for if it's worth getting into or not, that's up to you. Go ahead and download it again, it won't cost you anything.

The newly released physical spells are broken.
Blade vortex is brain dead to play and you get it just before merveil in act 1 normal. Great for leveling with.
Blade fall, the other physical spell released this patch, is all kinds of retarded. Build it however you want, you won't have any problems with anything.
Summon Raging Spirits is great for getting back into the game, assuming you're fine with relying on another skill for leveling. Works well with shit gear and doesn't have any problems running any modifiers on your endgame maps.
You remember the meme skill arc? It's good now. Mediocre for leveling, but around mid-cruel early merc it really picks up.
Low level melee uniques are still broken. They've never been tuned for their content, so leveling is a breeze if you have a set of twink gear. The past few years melee skills without a built in AoE were worthless because you had to rely on melee splash for your clears. This patch, melee splash is great. So you can run pretty much anything.
All in all, just have fun with it. Even if you fuck up, which you probably will, you should still be fine. Roll in softcore until you learn the ropes on all the new mechanics, bosses, map tiers, and acts.

Bladefall Trapper, go full ham with phys and trap damage, supplement with chinsol trap and blast arrow trap. Rain of damage on entire map, blast rain (I hate the knockback with chin sol on some bosses) with bear trap and poison for bosses.
Most fun I've had doing a multi-trap build. The new cooldown recovery nodes made this uber fun and you stop being completely shit useless in 6 men party like 95% of the trappers are.

Start Ranger, pick get ALL the health nodes except the Melding cluster. Should be around 174% life, 201% evasion and 52% evasion from Dex. Get the Acro/Phase Acro. Get a jewel node or two (for 7% life jewels; don't spend more than 3 points to get them). Get traps nodes. Get phys nodes. Get 2 mana notables (you need some regen to run Bladefall Trap and Bear Trap, both sitting at around ~89 per cast for me at level 19). Get poison clusters (for 3 points these are incredibly retarded good against bosses).
Use Clarity and Hatred. I have 4.5k health and I'm still missing 32% health from tree and using shit jewelries that have less than 40 health. Evasion chests are cheap as fuck cause everyone and their mom use Daresso and Memecoil.
Save up those currencies and get yourself a Taste of Hate instead. You can just get a cheapass quiver with tri resist and +90 life for cheap as well.
I spent around 13c on all my gears all together. Not hardcore viable because I died 3x in normal (twice to pre-nerf Bonespire, once to afk entering Kaom's area). Died again when doing Dungeon Brutus with crit mod on the map while I had only 2.5k health.

Essence Drain has next to no use for auras, so 70% reservation for Temp Chains and Enfeeble make you really hard to kill.

Because constant Temporal Chains means nothing can touch you, and Enfeeble means that if you get crit on the first hit you're fine. Not to mention you don't need to keep your curses low level, Temp Chains and Enfeeble have exponential effect.

from my experience, ive noticed these things:
not capping your fps to around 60 makes grouping MUCH laggier and you get more freezing
amd vid cards run poe worse than nvidia (at least pre-crimson drivers)
amd cpus run poe worse than intel ones
if you are torrenting, all the freezes last longer

PoE is just horribly coded shit. Basically all lag causes are known and can be avoided or lessened, but you can get exponentially fucked by too many of these happening once. Loading Screen of Death still happens to people with no other freezing whatsoever.

No you should chisel tier 8-10 maps and roll pack size on them.
Its cheaper than alching and needing to chaos because of rip mods. Likely better xp as well as you're constantly having +% pack size.
+% 14 pack size is easily +%25-35 experience per hour.
