I'm getting close to finishing a playthrough of Fallout 4 and to keep myself from getting burned out before mods come in like I did with New Vegas, I feel like doing a Fallout 2 playthrough sinceit didn't keep me hooked like Fallout 1 did and I never finished it. I really hope we get some DLC that expands on post-MQ events for each faction, at least moreso than there already is.
For example, I realise the Minutemen are basically a throwaway faction, but it'd be cool to get a questline of Preston going "our scouts found a holotape that suggests one of the delegates at the original CPG meeting escaped with their life", and you would go find them, and hear more in-depth history about that, and get together with the others and talk about restarting the project now that the Institute's gone. It wasn't really expanded upon much in the main game outside of Nick and Shaun mentioning it, so you could write a pretty good story for that.
Just one or two really decent extra questlines per faction would be good, I think.
And if we get any of those free updates Todd loves so much I'd like the ability to change the names of settlements. Seemed weird that I wiped out everyone in Covenant but we just moved in a whole new community under the same name.

I'm using the one where everything including me does double damage and it's much better than vanilla survival. Plenty of legendaries pop up, which is more fun. Some enemies are still sponges, but they're usually stuff that looks like it should be a sponge like Legendary Sentry Bots.
I run around in PA 24/7 on a melee-only build and I still have issues with plenty of fights if I'm not careful.
I'm considering trying the 3x version to see if it adds more of a dangerous edge to combat, but it doesn't seem necessary. All mooks die in one power attack, if not one swack, from my heavy sledge and tougher stuff ends up being a more drawn out fight. If I don't use cover and block, I die pretty fast. Feels like I'm in a sweet spot.

I'm making a mod that basically lets you label a bunch of containers for your sorting pleasure
I've figured out the basics of how to implement it, so now I need to come up with all the labels and then add them
Right now I've got:

A few are kind of sub-categories but I did that so people can combine shit if they want (e.g. Chems and Food and Alcohol could all go under Consumables or Aid) without having to build more containers if space/resources is an issue
So now I ask you guys - what are some other categories to make for sorting?
If I join the Brotherhood but finish the game with the Minutemen can I still do quests for the Brotherhood when I'm finished with the main quests?
Are there low intelligence speech checks for Fallout 4? Last game I played was new vegas and I remember it having speech checks for things like unarmed, charisma, etc etc. I've been watching some videos and none of them really show speech checks yet.

I was just replaying the game and when I got to Kellog's memories, it struck me. Father is lying to you. He's not Shaun. Things that tip me off:
1. Kellog's childhood. Talks about the NCR being a great power already. Assuming there really were 60 years between your kid being taken and you waking up, then he kidnapped Shaun in 2227. Assuming he's 40 years old then (likely older, he looked just as old when he joined the institute), and that he was 12 years old when the first memory happened, that means the first memory was in 2199. That is barely 32 years after the destruction of the Master, when the NCR was barely getting set up. Though not impossible, this timeline doesn't make much sense.
2. Kellog says the "old man" is who sent him to collect Shaun. You could merely assume that it was the previous director of the Institute, but he refers to him again in the final memory, where it's implied the Shaun who's living with him is a pet project of the old man, AKA one of the synths Father is working on. It's thus reasonable to assume that the "old man" Kellog refers to in the memory of the kidnapping is Father, therefore Father cannot be Shaun.
Those two together lead me to believe that Father is lying and that Shaun is either dead or detained somewhere.

if you have the chemist perk there's a mentats type that highlights enemies with a pinkish glow, and it works on stealthboy'd enemies as well. It also seems to allow your companions to see them too which is weird.
