It's really up to you. I don't use the Rolling Hills because I find it kind of over done. I also skip the Eastern Peaks because it only really effects areas outside of Cyrodiil, and I don't think the stuff it adds is worthwhile for me to explore it just for that.
I also don't use the Imperial Isle, but mostly because I don't see any need to use it with Region Revive. You actually can use them together, but I'd rather use less patches where possible.
Oh, and if you want something similar to Unique Landscapes, give the Hesu Mod Collection a look. It's slowly being updated in English and with patches for most mods.

Yes, but I always change my DOSBox configs. It's probably just some special DOSBox option that I applied to Daggerfall and not other games that requires Aero to work. And it's not like it didn't work at all, it just wouldn't display the mouse pointer.

FC3's engine is pretty good so I'd expect it to run fine on your system, but with PCs and hardware you never really know until you try.
Dead Island is a buggy mess, and it's the grindy, timesink-y kind of game. It's pretty fun all in all, but the whole time you'll be wishing it had been better. I played it on the same hardware as FC3, a bit chuggier performance from what I remember, and it doesn't look as good.

The closest I can think of Ningheim, especially with the Travellers of Skyrim add-on it has. The rest are either not as robust or extensive as Ronzo in Skyrim, or are just replacers for beast races

Nothing is specifically wrong with the 980 but if you have cash you should have got a 980ti the boost from the normal 980 to the ti is massive while the 970 is almost equal to the 980 but cost far less. budget = 970 performance = 980ti no reason to get a 980.

It's 20-30% faster than it in most tests. It's especially worth it more if you have, or are getting, 1440p and up.

The point of using MO is that it doesn't put shit into your install. It basically tricks the game into using another directory and doesn't actually copy shit around. Lets you change the mod order without reinstalling everything.
It still has issues, but it's far better than NMM.
