The issue occurs with some older routers with smaller mac address tables or something like that(been drinking). I have had this issue in the past and the solution is to go to Steam>Settings>In Game> and edit the drop down box "In-game server browser max pings/minute". It is default set to 5000, if you change this to 500 or 250 you will see the Accept button. This in no way will affect your gameplay.

I've been a gamer most of my life, specifically attracted to shooters and RPGs, both single player and multiplayer modes. I used to sit around for hours in gaming sessions, playing through those nice story games like Deus Ex, Fallout, Assassin's Creed, etc. I've probably played every game worth playing up to 2 years ago.
After starting to play CS GO and getting good at it, I became addicted, I really liked playing the game, improving and assimilating every bit of information I found about it. Currently, I have over 3000 hours of gameplay, and probably over 3000 competitive games.
After being involved with CS GO, I noticed that whenever I wanted to play a worthwhile game that launched, say GTA V or Fallout 4, I was losing interest really fast and I wasn't finding much fulfillment in the game other than "let me finish it and check it off my list", things that weren't happening before.
Indeed, the game has its unique traits that makes it appealing to people, like the gameplay, the teamwork, the meta, etc. However, more often than not I would find myself ALT+Tabbing out of my quest-like game every 10 minutes to check my e-mail, or browse around Facebook, etc, and I felt like I wasn't enjoying the games anymore. Over time, I've seen people relate to that, but I didn't make a connection until now.
Competitive games alternate fast paced action (executes, post-plant, clutches etc) with short breaks (when you're watching deathcam, freeze-time, etc), every cycle being around 2 minutes, and with a short break after every match.
If you play the game a lot, perhaps your brain makes a lot of connections there and expects your gaming sessions to be similar to the way you got it used to by playing CS GO. Fast paced alternating with short breaks, and all the other games that don't follow this pattern seem unappealing, so you feel the need to stop playing them and do something else.

So after 3k hours of CS:S, playing GO since beta, 500 competitive wins and a few game uninstalls I have now reached global elite. Unlike few other people I am not here to brag about having achieved anything, actually I hate every single second of it and looking to rank down asap and I will of course explain why because typing stuff is cool.
Ranking up to Global Elite is such a fantastic achievement that I should have! It marks that I am one of the best, and only good players can reach it! - False. First of all you need a tons of wins in a row for some odd reason to reach it, that when you actually do you really get to question the reasoning behind why it takes what it takes to get this rank.
The way I reached global elite was when I recently ranked down to LEM from supreme. I then played 1 single match and I ranked back up to supreme immediately. After that I played with a friend of mine for 9 straight hours, 9 in the morning till 18 afternoon winning a total of 14 wins and 1 draw until I got global elite.
I didn't feel like I achieved anything because my other 485 wins felt like a complete waste. I have been supreme for over 400 of my games and I just only reached global elite now, by having a lucky winstreak with a friend that I would probably most likely never get again. Not because that I am bad and got lucky with wins - No, it is because not only should it be impossible to win 15 games in a row against players with equal skill as you, but also because it is a cheating paradise, which makes getting any sort of convincing winstreak very limited.
So not only have I not become a better player from when I was supreme, but I was out of shape and did nothing special during the 14 wins, but played like I would always do, hold my ground and get along with the vibe of a sudden winstreak that came out of nowhere.

Global Elites must be the best players in the game! - False. As I have mentioned earlier, being a global elite is almost no different to majority of the supreme players. I was supreme for 400 competitive wins without reaching global elite, and I just reached it now and have no trouble carrying games as I used to. Is it because I became a better player than before? That's a big no. I am currently out of my best shape and I have had countless better matches as I was supreme, than I have now but yet I am still global.
That just makes me feel bad about all the supremes and even LEM's that have the skillset to become global elite, but most likely won't in a very long time because the system is build in a such outdated and frustrating way, that it definitely does not represent the best there is out there. Alot of players are cheated from their true rank and it is sad.
The journey/system to ranking up to Global encourages players to cheat and exploit - That is a massive true. After all this time I've always thought that I was just too bad and needed practise to reach global elite, but after coming up here I realised how dumb this system actually is, and I could totally see why people choose to exploit and cheat their way up here, because quite frankly it is just designed to frustrate people that they would rather abuse it than feel cheated out of it.
As I have mentioned, you need a ridiculous amount of wins in a row to reach it... and there is NOTHING in that winstreak of yours that indicates that you've become a worthy/better player than supreme. It is just a massive luckfest that you have no control off at all, it's completely out of your hand and unfair. - Unless you start exploiting or cheating, then you might force your way illegally to optain that needed streak to rank up.
The fact that the majority of the pro players can and are stuck in lower ranks, because of how absurd this system is, shows the inconsistency of it.

Hows the life of a Global elite exactly? - Miserable. If you are looking to reach global elite and still plan to play matchmaking afterwards, then don't do that at all.
So far my everyday has just been about spectating the cheaters on my team vs the cheaters on the enemy team, whoever has the better trigger decides the factor of the game. The VAC banwaves have absolutely no effect other than the first couple of days.
There are most likely more cheaters up here than legitimate players, that's pretty certain. There are cheaters in every single game and if not every game, then every other game. The rumours about cheaters up here are true in every way, you just can't play, and you will lose your rank again very fast if you keep playing.
Another absolutely terrible thing about it are peoples expectations. When you have that global elite medal, people/friends you queue up with suddenly think that you are a god amongst men, that you are definitely going to carry this game hard and win it for them.
People doesn't realise that this is a team game, and if they play like shits, that would also affect your ability to carry and win the game. So not only are you against frustrating cheaters everywhere, you are also under heavy pressure from every single individual that sees and knows your rank.

Conclusion - So to sum things up here, global elite is definitely not a positive thing in this game. The way to rank up there is just wrong and unfair towards many players, and at the same times encourages exploiting and cheating because it is so frustrating.
Being global elite does not at all represent how skilled you are as a player, because quite frankly a lot of LEM's and supremes are exactly as good as 90% of global elites. Not to mention the amount of players that have been boosted up here, and still are in a daily basis. All you have to do is wait until some VAC banwave arrives, and then spam matches that day, until you perhaps get lucky enough to get a long winning streak going on. This is basically all it takes.
Being global elite does not make you anywhere near the level of actual pro players, it is two different worlds and never think that if you are global elite, that you might have a chance of getting picked up by a team - This is CS, not mobas. The process of getting into the pro scene is completely different from this mess, because it is such an unreliable source.
Cheaters are everywhere. If you want to spectate cheaters, just spectate a few global elite games. I mean if a Valve employee would just get some popcorn and spectate global elite matches, I bet there would be more bans than those ban waves we get every now and then. It is a bad experience that I can assure you, you would not enjoy and you are just better off playing ESEA, face IT or other stuff than wasting your time for this.

Today I sold all my skins and uninstalled CS:GO for quite a while, and thought it made sense to say goodbye to the subreddit that I frequented so much during my playtime as well!
The reason being is a month ago I was diagnosed with a heart condition (Idiopathic Systolic Heart Failure) and had to go through a huge lifestyle change. I was independant for two years, and had to take a break from the school I loved and move back with my family. Now I have to track every second of exercise I do, eat overly-healthy, and most importantly not get too stressed out. It's a boring lifestyle, and I hate it, but I suck it up because I could be in a lot worse of a situation.
Unfortunately, I have decided that it's best for my health to stop playing Counter-Strike. I recently got to LEM, which I feel is quite an accomplishment for me. Although, I started to take the game too seriously. It was all about wins and skins. If we lost a match or rounds didn't go my way, I'd get sad or mad. Playing competitive put too much stress on me, and I tried playing at lower ranks to try and combat it, but I hated the feeling of not being able to progress and outperform players who weren't at my skill level. It wasn't fair, and it wasn't fun.
Community gamemodes were fun with friends, I even made a video showing off Dodgeball! But they didn't satisfy my urge to play competitively.
I've been playing since I was 11, so for 9 years. Granted, only got into playing comp on CS:GO in the last 2 years. I'll still be watching my favorite teams, and cheering on my friends, but it's for the best I take some time off.
Now I'm going to focus on relaxing, working on my hobbies, and trying to have fun with what I have.
I loved all the dank memes, shitposts, and drama of this subreddit. Seriously, it's so active and fun here, so I'm sad to see it go. I'm sure I'll pop in every now and again to see what's up and new, but I think it's best if I unsubscribe.
