I actually want pd2 diamond heist to be similar to SR in this things. Ability to pre-plan and choose loot drop points, entry points, maybe change layout even, by bribing workers who do renovations. Also a lot of loot everywhere on the map - display cases with "pension fund" diamonds, classic big vault with a secret one, maybe a few stashes or mini-vaults around the map.

Considering the layout of the level, it's easily on the same level of quality of Shadow Raid, lots of places to hide body bags and such. The devs would just have to adjust things like the camera being actives this time, forcing you to remove the camera operator (as opposed to the first game where the camera room was empty) in order to disable them and make maybe a scatter a few more civilians in the whole buildings (like people partying on the rooftop or others workers doings things on the floor in constructions but also make sure the heist is not as easily rushable as in the first game and improving the pathing of the units, this was just so abusable for farming xp on Overkill.

Well, they can rack up ammo and health, but only until the ammo pickups are gone. I feel like Overkill didn't consider that there is a finite amount of ammo pickups of any one time, and getting more requires killing more cops. That's enough of a limitation.I tried modding Gambler so the cooldown was 0 and couldn't get it to work, I'll probably revisit it later.

Well they kinda balance themselves: While Counterfeit is really fun and interesting, Undercover is a lot lot more frustrating and suffer a lot considering the army of snipers surrounding the building where you hole up. If you ever get a powerbox to fix or the limo to saw on the roof, you're good as dead.

While I like the idea of Counterfeit being fully stealthable, I feel like it'd be better as a "timed" stealth heist. Where you need to rush in, dominate, and get the objectives done before any cops arrive, or things get loud. And if they do, your gear is waiting in the van, as preplanning lets you set up a "Plan B" loadout just in case.

The fiddy cal is a shit primary because its only purpose was to dish thousands of points of damage per shot.
You don't use that shit on grunts so you have only specials left to use it on. But there's no point in bringing a wasteful gun for specials either, especially on loud DWs, because other weapons does the job much better than it does.

You're wasting fiddy cal shots on Tasers? Just shoot them in the head. Most of the common breakpoints are good enough for Tasers.

Shoot them in the head. Using bodyshots on Cloakers as a last resort as a justification is pretty damn weak.

HE rounds, grenade launchers, BRRRRRRRRRRRRT SMGs, and ARs do a faster and better job and you can get all that ammo back from the pickup box the dozer drops. Also you're stuck having to fire several shots through the low-HP visors first before doing any real damage, or you have to settle for 3-4 bodyshots per dozer and that's just dumb with its pickup rate. Hell, I'm using a Bronco right now because pistols are the meme meta and I can take out skulldozers in 4-5 shots to the head.
So now you're bringing an ammo vacuum primary weapon that doesn't do its purported job better than entire classes of primary weapons. Hell, my HE M1014 shotgun outclassed it. You tell me that I have to do a loud DW with a fiddy cal, and I'll cry to be allowed to bring an unmodded AMCAR instead because it'll be an upgrade. If you can make it work, that's nice, there are people who can solo loud DWs with 0 skills and unmodded AMCARs and Chimano 88s. Still doesn't make it a good weapon.

I use the deagle 85% of the time. The flamer is only for Winters, being thouroughly zergrushed by 6+ cops or stunning dozers if caught out in the open.
The Thanatos simply doesn't have enough (rof) output imo, when you're sanic shields aren't a problem.

A shorter explanation is that the Thanatos is a solution in search of a problem when the ~250 damage sniper rifles like the nugget, r93, and that stupid ninja pack one are much more sustainable, still work effectively as a sniper rifle, and can be used to kill off the more common specials and probably grunts without needing ammo bags.

I only use Thatnos against shields, dozers, winters, turrets. Sometimes cloakers if they are far and I have thatnos out.
Everything else I use my secondary LEO
I rarely drop below 10 ammo since the pickup is good.
Sure you could spend a while running around shields, spreading your team out so you flank shields, exposing yourself to run up to shields and get behind them, of which there are usually many and they are often in tight spaces.
Sure you can get out of cover, run up to a dozer and magdump on it while it's saiga and everyone elses guns wail down on you.
Or you can HE stun it while everyone else focuses their fire away from controlling the normies
Or you can use a sniper, waste a couple of mags of ammo taking out harder to kill specials like dozers and turrets from safe distance.
Or you can just take out a thatnos
Pop multible shields in a row if they line up, kill dozers with 2 headshots (let's not even pretend anyone who plays ovk/dw is so hilariously shit they can't reliably HS) and do that from as far or close away as you want, without having to expose yourself.
With it's slow refire rate you have no reason to actually use it against normies, so it'll sit on your back most of the time. If you have ammo for your secondary, you're guranteed to have way too much ammo for thatnos.
I ran with supresssed thatnos and kept the specials in chech while my friend keeps normies in check. We've never been close enough to a dozer or a shield to take any damage from them.
We've never had an issue with Winters or Turrets.
Thatnos is great. It's a sniper that kills high HP enemies as easily as other snipers kill low hp enemies.
Only reason it's shit is cause it makes the game too easy.

You don't need a sniper for grunts, since it deals way too much damage and pistols are laser accurate and easily hit 90 damage. You can countersnipe with pistols and you can kill waves with one mag.
Snipers are only useful for specials, they kill anything but dozers, winters, turrets in one shot, and they take a lot of shots and a long time.
thatnos kills them in far fewer shots, meaning you spend less time doing it, meaning you have more time to spend clearing out normies.
Ammo is not an issue.
For my playstile, middle ground snipers have no niche. Pistols and SMG's do what snipers do at more ammo per mag, better pickup rates, better refire rate and Thatnos does what they can't.

bank heist is shittily designed stealth heist anyway, all you do is wait for drills. Firestarter is worse, since you wait for drills, and wait for money and wait for one extra drill.

I am not surprised they fucked up bank heist by making a rare event of 5 guards for no other reason than to punish anyone who stealths it even further by forcing them to restart halfway through thermal.
OVK are extremely terrible game designers. Like textbook horrible. I'd not be surprisde if they haven't even read a game design book
Fucking fs day 1 can be stealthed but some missions marked as stealth, uk bh (based on RNG) and big oil day 2 can't. 10/10

I've played the game since launch. I was grinding H&Ts and FSes more times than you have hours played just to hit V-100.
H&Ts never spawns 5 guards. It's a problem on either your end or the host's.

Your screenies or videos don't really matter much. The game's lua scripts are there for anyone to read because OVK can't figure out software security. That's why the Long Guide is a good source, because the guy reads the files himself.
