Yeah, that's the biggest problem I have with HC.
People tend to camp with high-firerate weapons like Vesper, and you don't know where enemies are with no minimap, so matches just drag on.
At least in core even if I get spotted by a camper, if my shots are consistent/accurate I can still win that fight, while in HC I don't stand a chance if I'm not the first guy to pull the trigger.

Seriously. Off the top of my head:
- It gives you a clear indicator over their head when within lunge range.
- It gives you this indicator when the ability is charged, so you can activate it on the first kill and not waste any time.
- It charges LUDICROUSLY fast, faster than any other Specialist ability.
- If you get killed on the lunge, it refunds 75% of the charge when you respawn.
- There is zero melee cooldown when in effect, so you can miss somehow (which is nearly impossible within range) and still get it, and you can chain kills together.
- It gives you 50 bonus points per kill, which is more than any other Specialist weapon I'm aware of.
- You can lunge at an aerial target or one on the ground, so the jumping / wallrun mixup potential is insane and it's easier to land kills with it than with guns at that range.
You'd have to be a spastic who only eats pizza to not appreciate how great the Ripper is.

I managed to get it on combine. The key is that if you spawn south run straight through the middle because pubs are retards and only wall run to that hallway or go around the outside. Then vault through the window, and do this right after a few enemies get killed, go out the door and run straight past that door that leads to the t section. Boost slide as much as you can and stop, turn around and by the time you do as long as your team is doing its usual fucking around on the flanks the enemy should have respawned at the back of the map.

why are combat axes/tomahawks/throwing knives even in this game?
