There's a bunch of info on Nosferats in Wiedźmin: Gra Wyobraźni but it sums up as them being more powerful than just about everything, including dragons, and they look like humans with sharp fangs.
Other than being more powerful, the main difference between a Bruxa and a Nosferat is that Bruxae have their scream thing going for them while Nosferats can turn into mist and do any kind of magic they might have figured out on their own terms.
Kain is probably the closest, easiest and fastest way to explain Nosferatsjust without the being resurrected with the heart of a powerful creature and turning gold/green and growing a carapace due to corruption bit so more or less just Blood Omen Kain in terms of potential powers and whatever

Fleders also die from exposure to sunlight and flee at the sight of garlic and other herbs so quite some liberties are taken in the game but that can be handwaved with only Higher Vampires being big "fuck you"s to vampires in the rest of fiction since Lesser Vampires aren't much more than just animals.

All large flying creatures with claws get a grab attack that basically means certain death for anyone that gets caught since when the creature then flies up high enough, the captive's only options are to either wrestle free of the monster's claws and then promptly fall to their death or get taken to the monster's nest and eaten.
Hell, even drowners are pretty dangerous since they specialise in grabbing people and then actually drowning them which means a 1v1 with a drowner also is certain death unless you know what you are doing.
It might sound ridiculous but it all works quite nicely since it expects its rules and gameplay mechanics to just be used if common sense and imagination doesn't cut it.

They were and the framework they decided to use for it was something that used a lot of many-sided dice and set classes if I'm not mistaken which is the exact opposite of Game of Imagination where the only dice being used are 6-sided and only 4or 5 in case of very dangerous creatures or peopleof them at a time at most.
Characters are also more like Runescape characters than WoW/D&D characters in the sense that they have no set class and instead they have a number of skills depending on their Intellect score that define who they are and what they can do.

Rereading the witcher books while trying to figure out the timeline, notice that Bounds of Reason takes place 5 years after the events in the short story The Last Wish, notice that the last time Yen and Geralt meet before Geralt goes off to Cintra to find Ciri is like a year in a half after they broke up in A Shard of Ice which took place at in unspecified amount of time after The Bounds of Reason. However according to Season of Storms the Last Wish took place in the 1240's which would place The Bounds of Reason early in the 1250's same goes for the other stories, but according to the Sword of Destiny those events happened in the late 1250's and early 1260's. Did anything good actually come out of Season of Storms? It just seemed to massively fuck up the timeline a lot more then what it already was.

I'm finally reading through The Last Wish and just finished A Question of Price, and reading up on the Witcher wiki about some of the finer points and implications of it. It's interesting though in how many rather significant ties to Witcher 3 there are. Emhyr, then Duny; Crach an Craite; Ciri, yet to be born. It was interesting to read how she came into Geralt's life.
I'm curious though why none of this was mentioned in the game? Emhyr never acknowledges Geralt as the man who helped him and his wife get married. In all the talk of Ciri, it's never explained exactly how she went from daughter of a noble to Witcher in training. What would be the point? There are more references than you might think since they tend to fly right over your head if you haven't read the books. But the stuff you're talking about? It would be awkward as fuck for the characters to spend 5-10 minutes telling each other things they already know for the player's benefit.

I was playing the witcher 3 whole day yesterday and at the evening pic related happened, I thought it was related to the low memory available problem windows reported but when I launched the game today it's still happening. It only occurs on high and ultra textures settings but everything looks like muddy shit on normal so I'm looking for a way to fix this.
Anybody knows what could cause the problem and how to repair it?
I don't think the graphics overheated as I never saw it even exceeding 80 degree celcius and it's only Geralt's face thats messed up.

I've just started my second playthrough of the game, new game plus. I want to finish a second run through before I start with hearts of stone.
I was wondering though, won't this make me very overpowered for the HOTS content? I'm already 33 and I can imagine after I'm done with a second playthrough I will be much higher.

On a normal playthrough it's 32.
But on NG+ its above 60.
Though 32 on normal is the absolute minimum. First enemy I ran into when I started it was a bear on 38. He thrashed me. Though, to be honest, I didn't expect the local wildlife to be so strong.
