also the rule breaker cop out at the end is weak, he could have done that way sooner, and Medea stabbing Soichiro made 0 sense, and Illya knew immediately that Archer was Shirou when he Fate she couldn't tell at all, and Shirou copied a techique from Berserker's sword that Berserker never used in the first place because he couldn't, and that sword didn't even have "memories" because it was just a piece of stone, and that piece of stone that was berserker's sword was able to hurt a servant.
HF is full of plotholes and the writing is so shitty.

First VN covers the common route, which is Yuji's introduction into the academy and all his daily shenanigans with everyone. After the common route, you got into detail about everyone's backstory:Detailed spoilers aheadMakina being forced to watch her parent rot in front of her, and her mom being after her + Yuji's invasion into her mansion with full security detail / Amane's history with Yuji's sister and their trauma in HORRIFYING detail + meeting the crazed father of a victim out for the only survivor, Amane / Michiru's real reason for ramune candy and her identity crisis + the death of her cat and Yuji faking her death / Yumiko's father crisis + Yuji on bodyguard duty + Yuji taking her from the academy and escaping, living with her a few months while in hiding, and their confrontation with him / Sachi's detail on her backstory (only route I haven't finished, so I can't go into too much detail)
Basically, in case you opted not to read that, it goes into a whole lotta backstory and actual developments that couldn't have been possible in the anime because of decisions Yuji has to make.

that varies per game and games that have actual fleshed out MC's will have the MC constantly talking and replying to the main heroine during the routes. worst case scenario you have a general route where everyone talks and then individual routes where it's mostly the MC and heroine. even if the MC talks half as much as each girl it'll add up since he's in every route. either way it's still alot of time and money for something that's already usually expensive without it.

yeah i've seen a bunch of numbers floated around from certain studios but that can vary alot too, some companies can just reuse assets from previous games like backgrounds, soundfx etc and then some smaller companies will actually just use public domain shit cuz it's free. MGQ for example used all public domain music and soundfx.

Not really. The majority of console VNs come with the MC voiced, and it's something added quite often in all-ages versions (although not for Grisaia's Vita versions). Muv-Luv's PS3 releases have Takeru fully voiced, while the PC version only has flashbacks in Alternative voiced. This is something that the Kickstarter version will have. I can think of Duel Savior where the TL ports all of the all-ages content into the PC game including the new voices.
And there's some story-focused VNs that have the MC voiced from the start, like Kara no Shoujo 2.

Pretty rarely. I've had good experience with Fuwanovel/mofumoe. I like them because they're the only seeded torrents around for older games. All the installation shit is pretty much never needed.
