Late in the game I started to get the vibe that the ACC was the only point at which venom was semi-lucid in a hospital bed. It made perfect sense. There he would be, strapped to his bed with pictures of those closest to him and mementos of his accomplishments, with D-Dog and Quiet sitting patiently next to his bed in a silent vigil. Maybe Pequod was actually just his attending doctor, always close-by but never really paying him any attention. and whenever he was out on missions it would just be him slipping back into a dream.
It was a glimpse of one of the many interesting and creative things Koji could have done and didn't.

BB still did virtuous, snake eater, foxhound establishment and the formation of cipher, peace walker and then established outer heaven v2, all Venom did was diamond dogs and outer heaven N313.
Diamond dogs was a fucking mess and dealt with epidemics and nuclear espionage and N313 got rekt pretty easy, their metal gear didn't even put up a fight, and Venom died for good.
True BB's outer heaven was far more organized, and BB survived the attempt on his life.
In the end Venom was only a Decoy, a vague imitation of the real thing that didn't last too long and didn't accomplish as much.

The Witcher 3 looks better, costs less, delivers a complete story, has engaging characters and morally fascinating scenarios and decisions. It was also delivered without micro-transactions or arbitrary wait times, in fact a large sum of free DLC was released on launch and the bevy of free updates with new features has been incredible.
Of course I prefer junk food games to play while listening to podcasts or watching youtube videos, MGSV excels at that, so I have been playing it significantly more. Witcher 3 is very dialogue driven so anything but treasure hunts and exploration can't really be one-handed with absent attention.

a game is a whole, witcher 3 achieved it in a much better way than MGSV. When you play TW3 you feel like you enter its world. In MGSV, as fun as it is, the gameplay aspect takes priority over almost everything else. Afghanistan and Africa are basically very large infiltration levels instead of actual places you would visit with friends, foes, locations, etc. The music is pretty good but again, it doesn't feel like part of the world because most of the time you'll only hear it when you put it on with your iDroid, which is a shame. That time where they waste Sins of the father in the jeep is another thing that comes to mind. Everything about quiet is honestly pretty bad. I think there were some legitimate ideas but Kojima is obsessed with the boob shots and forget to build something believable. It pales in comparison to characters like yennefer or ciri. Well I could go on but you get my point I guess.

but TW3 is of higher quality than MGSV. I'll give you a very simple example, the the romance cutscene between yennefer and Geralt for the last wish quest. Sure, you have to wait to select the answer, but it's common in RPG, I really don't see how that's a problem. The scene is simple, low key, touching. The equivalent scene in MGSV is when Quiet starts dancing in the rain at MB. It was honestly very difficult to take it seriously, it's hard to describe why but it was just way too poorly written / directed to be believable. Almost all cutscenes in MGSV feel like that. There are some excellent moment as well but on average it's just not all that great.

The bed is even perfectly made like it was never used. DD can be found sleeping in it from time to time.

I just got all the animals yesterday, aside from one of the tortoises it was pretty easy to get all the animals if you know where to lay the traps. Even the tsuchinoko I got on my first try.
