I saw the loading screen for troublemakers changed to say that 1 troublemaker = 1 diplomat and it completely omitted the 2 troublemakers in one unit canceling the effect. The reason for that is fairly simple. They plan to let you rent equipment from people who support you. Datamining confirmed this. If you could choose friends you could exploit that and get equipment far above your level at that point in the game. Don't know if anyone knows or cares, but just farmed a bunch of fuel doing The War Economy.
If you go into free roam, and start the mission by going by that gay box, all you have to do is start the mission and farm your fuel/bio/PM if you want to hoof it that way, hit a checkpoint, but now instead of restarting, abort the mission. You will be back in free roam. Just start up the mission again and you will get the full amount. Just confirmed this.
Likely works for any mission that you start in free roam, abort, and restart. It takes barely an extra few seconds to do, so it's a great way to farm for base development. You can't use offline resources to make the new weapons because Konami are hack fucks but still, tons of resources easy. (maybe that huge sync that happens every Sunday will still transfer, but knowing Konami now that everyone WANTS online money and resources they'll probably literally stop doing it)

I never use my urgan. I really want a sniper for 4/4 FOBs, but the max fire rate LMG is a mini gun and I know it would be useful for clearing a 1/4 FOB, where there's lots of things that would snag a grenade round. The game design is pretty damn robust. I was just riding on horseback and passing through Sakhra Ee Village when a sniper spotted and shot me off it, so I ran the hell out of there, and as I was heading down the road a truck and some dudes pulled up and started gunning me down and more people had arrived, so I had to sneak out the direction I came avoiding the snipers.
This shit was tense as fuck and none of it was scripted, it wasn't even a sideop location, there were just snipers there.

I feel you, but even when your max staff on PW was only 300, I still ended up with 3 Coypus, which was stupid because my best soldier was named Colypu.
Now that we're dealing with potentially 2800 soldiers they have to differentiate it with verb the adjective noun. especially considering that even if they add an exemption so that the same mother base can't produce the same name twice, you will be stealing soldiers from other bases, which would give you duplicate names if the generated wasn't ridiculously diverse.

I was replaying Where Do the Bees Sleep to S-rank all the missions and right next to the Honey Bee, there were a bunch of soldiers in riot suits.
Is this new? I don't remember riot suit enemies appearing in missions this early. Alternately, I thought enemy gear was only dynamic in the open world; do deployment missions get rid of riot suits in missions too?

First of all, countermeasures aren't dynamic, mission and side op completion just adds to your "Difficulty points" until they eventually deploy everything, even nvg's and flashlights when you've been doing day missions exclusively. If you get rid of all countermeasures and then go punch and shoot your own soldiers on your mother base, countermeasures will be put into effect based on that. the system is fucking stupid.
Secondly, countermeasures do effect missions, you can stop them from being deployed in the early missions, but on the extreme and perfect stealth missions, basically any late game mission, they will be deployed regardless and added to the list of countermeasures in your list even if you JUST destroyed them. for instance, there will always be riot suits in the total stealth version of footprints of phantoms.
An additional note. When i finished the game i stopped deploying against countermeasures, since then I've noticed SIGNIFICANTLY less helmets and body armor and Riot suits being used by the enemy. it seems simply not bothering with the system circumvents it to a degree.

If you're playing as Venom, usually the Rocket Arm should do the job pretty well.

I don't honestly think BB and Ocelot had sex. I do think nearly 100% that Ocelot was in love with him though, and BB knew that, and maybe he liked it on some level or used it to his advantage. They seem closer than they ever have been in MGSV, so, yes, people are going to speculate what the hell is going on.
Are they really friends? Did anything happen? Why wasn't Ocelot in MSF? (Yes we can speculate on that but it was never said flat out why), what happened to EVA? Why is Ocelot Big Boss's only connection now?
