We saw Cloud's Advent Children outfit showcased in today's trailer. Awesome. But, we didn't see his next most iconic appearance represented, and one that would sate the palates of a few ravenous fanboys who want the series to have SOME representation in Smash.
I'm talking about Cloud's KH1 outfit.
Now, why wouldn't Nintendo showcase this with Cloud? It only makes sense for him to have it as an alternate outfit. After all, he had it in Dissidia, and as aforementioned, it's one of his most iconic looks.
Maybe Nintendo was waiting for something. Maybe they were waiting to reveal something KH-related down the line.

OoS options would probably be a little worse since you wouldn't be able to buffer attacks OoS anymore and there'd be less SDing because of dumb shit like getting hit by a weak knockback move and the buffer causing you to throw out an aerial.
Some players would probably play a lot worse for a couple weeks or a month till they get used to not having a buffer but besides that nothing really big.

From the looks of it, Cloud's B moves consist of Braver, and Climhazzard. I imagine the 4th B move is a charge that fills the limit gauge. When full the other B moves work differently/powered up (Climhazzard rose much higher, and his other moves seemed to hit much harder)

High level players need to keep mum on what they think about Smash 4 and like you said, respect the community because if they don't they could lose fans that happen to fans of both games. Low level Melee players and players on a local level can act as smug as they want about Smash 4 because they don't have a fanbase. Finally spectators don't know what the fuck they're talking about in regards to both Melee AND Smash 4, but unfortunately these dregs of the community are growing in number as the game becomes more of an esport.

I feel like the "Tr4sh" mindset is pretty prevalent even among high level Melee players. But I don't feel like the "melee is too old" mindset is shared by anyone but scrub shitters. Almost all if not all top Smash 4 players are or were competent Melee players in their day, they just found that Brawl (all smash 4 top players are Brawl vets for the time being) and Smash 4 catered to their skillsets more so they went for that.
I will agree at the top that mutual respect is shared though. Mango is basically the only top Melee player that never really acknowledges the smash 4 scene.
