It's almost all got good bonuses on it. The leather set's chestpiece is -15% damage from all sources will standing still while the metal set gives a bunch of AP cost reduction.

You can tell what they are assigned to by hovering over them in build mode. They will be highlighted and the item they are connected to will also be highlighted. Try it out on a settler picking crops or something.

New version of my shitty ReShade preset, now utilizes the full shader suite. Can't decide if its too dark. Has cleaner dof and a subtle lens flare which occasionally adds a somewhat annoying halo of blue around skies. But since ReShade effects everything, it leaves a cool little glow in the UI. Let me know what you think, I was messing with this at like 3 am lol.

The strengths of NV are balanced out by its flaws, though. The Mojave is a terrible fucking setting, all empty desert with a few scattered buildings you can't enter. And it somehow managed to be even more broken than FO3, but I suppose that goes with the territory of being an Obsidian game.
I'm glad Bethesda set the game content bar so high in terms of the storytelling medium. By the time they finally release all the updates and DLC, if they even loan it out to Obsidian, it will take them years to scrape together their edgy 'superior' story with Bethesda's dialogue wheel, voiced protag, and to top the insane amount of dialogue, crafting, and be expected to include settlements too. It will probably take a good few years just to get the game concept together, so the purist fags will have to suffer years of enjoying Bethesda's Fallout for years and years. It brings me such joy.

There's quite a few buildings where it doesn't make any sense. Like the public library, where a group of people holed up and were living for some time before they were killed by mutants. They didn't once bother to so much as move the skeletons out of the way.
In fact, the only example in all of FO3, NV, and FO4 that I can think of where the dead were dealt with at all was Curie burying and cremating the Vault-Tec scientists.

You might have to lower some stats because of level ups/bobbleheads, but you can get them back with player.addperk PerkID. Use help "statname" 0 to find the ID for the stat training perk, you'll find multiple but they all seem to work pretty much.
I don't know if there's a command that would directly change your name, and have others respond, but the above works.

Was getting real tired of how same-y the music on the radio was. I also didn't like how clean most of it sounded. Between the radio tower, and the 200+ year old speakers on your pipboy, it shouldn't sound like you were wearing earbuds. Replaced almost all the songs with other lore-friendly music and added a simple filter to them.
The only song left in was The Wander, because I love it to death. Also, 'The End of The World' was changed to the Julie London version because I like that more.

I was suggesting the MGSV weapons simply because it would be really easy to just rip the models and hack them into Fallout.

I rushed through the main quest and did a couple side things I was particularly interested in like Vault 81 and the Institute sidequests, but I'm basically done until I upgrade my PC and some major gameplay mods come out. Bethesda tried to emulate Obsidian and they missed the mark entirely by writing another stupid find-your-family movie. And 3's dialogue was actually broader than 4's, because even it had various SPECIAL/skill/perk checks. The lack of a voiced protagonist and the old dialogue list meant you weren't ushered through conversations as fast as possible to reach the next kill quest. It was bad, but it was actually a better system than 4, and it had more pacifist opportunities than 4 does. Yes, the factions are improved, but the dialogue system and protag backstory nearly ruins it all anyway.

Each armor has different tiers, so to speak.
You have leather/raider/metal/combat/synth, and each material has different versions with different looks, like normal Combat Amor, then there's Heavy Combar Armor and so on. Crafting also changes the looks of your armor.

I'd recommend building a fence along the perimeter of radiation surrounding the pond. Your settlers will tend to stand in one spot around it and keep sitting down (dying, but they're probably scripted to not get killed from it) and getting back up. It's not a big deal but it annoyed me, and I like the idea of a fenced-off no-go zone.

Gonna ramble here about a few things I don't like about Fallout 4. Just a heads up. This is more nitpicking than anything else here.

My biggest problem with this game, outside the horrible dialogue wheel is how streamlined our characters are. From the start you're married, have a partner of the opposite sex and have a child. If you play as a woman in the game, canonically you were never part of the Army, only your husband was so coming out of the Vault as a woman you have no prior experience of using weapons or surviving. Which makes especially weird when you can handle weapons and know how to operate Power Armor from the start.
Now without this sounding anymore tumblr then it already is, I wanted to play as a female Rick Deckard who flirts and fucks other woman and is single; to roleplay as this Rule 64 version of Rick.
Now it is entirely possible to roleplay as this person outside of any major questline in the game; this is both fine and bad. Any time I want to do any of the main story quest or other large chains; especially the main one I am constantly reminded that I'm married, have a husband and a child and that I absolutely loved my husband. And in some romances of the same sex your companion offhandedly mentions how much you must miss your husband and want to meet him again (which is odd).
How can one enjoy a character they've made when they're forced into a marriage and having a child right from the start?
Outside of this the games world, atmosphere and side-quest are fantastic. Almost every building I go into in this game there's a story to be told. Ether by Terminals and Holo-Tapes or just by what was left and the things you see before the nukes went off.
One of the best characters in the game has to be Nick Valentine and his quest. The world building is great compared to the other Fallout games Beth has made but it's still lacking in a ton of departments; especially the dialogue

Ok so I've set up a few settlements to be scav mode, connected to sanctuary hills. Meaning, there are no guards, only turrets, and minimal food production, everyone else works on a scavenging station.
The idea is that the satellite settlements are all about scavenging stations and producing random junk, and being linked to sanctuary, they basically produce scrap for my main base. Does it actually work like that?

I understand the point you're making here but try and remember that the 'role-playing' in FO3 especially was 90% imagination. At least now, if you want to follow the backstory of 'army veteran cryo-frozen and thawed out', that's supported by the game, whereas the multitude of RP options could never be supported in any real depth by the dialogue and characters the way the current one is.
For example, and since it is imagination, I personally make it the mission of the Minutemen's settlement-building to reform the guard regiments of each town into a proper military force. It's not hard to come up with things to do.

Well yes, but again this is not particularly different from Fallout 3 either. The main story quests and dialogue railroad you down certain concerns and plotlines, especially about how your mom and dad worked on Project Purity and all that.
Outside of the main quests in FO4 I haven't seen much that actually requires you to reference your kid or wife, and if anything the game basically says "well you can forget about your wife/husband anyway" because romance with other characters is a thing.
At the very least FO4 gives you some semblance of agency in letting you pick from a few factions to side with rather than the FO3 route of 'Brotherhood Good End' or 'Enclave Bad End', and then promptly narrowing that down to one route by the time of Broken Steel.

I have in fact played both of the original Fallout games and this is absolutely true but in a metaphorical sense, your freedom of who you want to be and who you want to love is taken from you at the start of Fallout 4 because you are already married and have a child.

Well that's a pretty vague idea though, what does 'cinematic storytelling' actually refer to? If you mean the sort of big setpieces that CoD games are usually known for, then I think a lot of first-person games went in that direction, but FO3 was no exception, just look at the final assault on Project Purity with Liberty Prime. That was very setpiece-esque.
And I'd argue that for the level of game we are talking about with FO1 and FO2, the characters' backstories really couldn't have been any more relevant than they were, but the shared traits of 'being sent from a vault to find a water chip' or 'tribal sent out into the wastes, on a mission to save tribe' are pretty important to those games.
Is there any way to get more synth relay grenades? I know there are some in Engineering and that the young doc gives you some for the mission after you lock your faction in. The trader in the institute doesn't seem to have any.

Fallout 1 and 2 remake
I get most complaints for this game but the two I just don't get are the graphics and the animations (non-facial withstanding). There are times where the game looks almost photo-realistic and the third person animations are universes better than anything Bethesda has done before.

How do I get more settlers to come to my Settlement? It seems capped at 17 or something. I have plenty of food, 36 food and 40 water and 200+ defense. But nobody has come in a long ass time. I can't even send new companions there anymore, it's greyed out on the list as if it's full or something. What's the deal?
Also my happiness is stuck at 80 and won't go up, I'm not sure how to raise it any higher. I built a couple of shops and it doesn't seem to do much.
