Here's a but of advice if you'd like:
Read the sticky, it's pretty useful, but take what it says with a grain of salt.
Make a fake twitter throw away account and collect all snails. I know social media blah blah but seriously these snails are worth it.
Always look up character stats before you decide if you want to level them or not.
Always have an idea of what kind of team you will be using the most. For the moment, slashers are easily the best possible for new players.
Gems for box space is the most important thing.

And I totally agree with you man, but you also keep in mind people have to have different tastes. For some people spending money REALLY isn't a big deal if you're employed, and I enjoy the game enough that I get a huge amount of enjoyment having a better chance of pulling I unit I really wanted on a Sugofest. When I pulled Rayleigh I can't even express how happy I felt, and that was I Sugofest I didn't even spend on so I know where you're coming from.
But also keep in mind that paying money isn't just an Auto-Win on everything, you still have to actually farm dungeons and bosses. In most cases money actually opens up more content for you to experience but getting you new units to level, or stamina refills for farming.
If spending a bit of money makes you enjoy the game more and you can afford it, then by all means do it. And if you enjoy getting satisfaction through the achievement of playing F2P that's just fine as well.

If you spent a shitload of gems to max him and you have great subs, yeah, he's pretty good. He's however pretty risky to use and generally needs a lot of stalling. There is the Moby Dick which is meant for WB teams, but it can only help so much.
If you don't want to go through all that trouble and just want a 6* that's easier and safer to use, doesn't require stalling, is extremely versatile and a similar damage output to WB teams, just use Rayleigh.
Sengoku is fun to use but he can't really be used to clear the harder raids, and Hancock generally works better as a sub than as a captain.

With raids you have a point, Free units I can somewhat agree with you, but the promo giveaways are usually like free turtles and shit all the time. I don't think dumping the free turtle you got for doing nothing counts as content, it just devalues other aspects of the game.
An example would be my time on Brave Frontier, It's so easy to level your units in that game the entire satisfaction you get for bringing them to max level is virtually nothing. Just like how having daily turtle time on the Nip version devalues the experience in the same way, and making the game easier.
Again just to be clear, I am not against the Jap version, I'm just stating that it IS technically "ezmode". Not to say that makes it a bad game.

The fast reroll methods requires a rooted phone, or alternatively an emulator (you just transfer the account to your phone once you're done) and takes approximately one minute if you have the helper app (the helper app does the actual reroll in less than 1 second, but you still have to reopen the app and wait for it to connect to the server and all, which takes around one minute all in all)
