So what does everyone think about a rebalanced power armor mod?
If you have tons of power cores you can still pretty much wear it forever now since it rarely breaks and cores last like an hour so it's a shitty limiter. If however it broke more easily (though was maybe less expensive parts wise to repair) then you'd have to either replace the part on the fly, or go back to repair it. Nuclear physicist would be replaced with experimental engineer, and would increase the health of power armor rather than the core duration.

That's why it's experimental engineer and not power armor engineer. Rad damage stays the same.
Though the bonus for level 3 could be something like "lock down", where if your weapon is holstered then your power armor only takes half damage.

There is nothing to be scared of crafting, it's really fucking simple and for how many options you'll eventually have, very few are useful.
Get 5INT, make sure you have the salvage perk to get semi-rare items for scrapping. Then collect literally every fucking piece of garbage you see. Except cans and tin cans. Enjoy your garbage picking up simulator: Bethesda Edition.

I'm 12 hours in, mainly explored, found a plane crash then went far to the east.
Original, different and interesting locations is where F4 really shines for me. Nearly all of them have a story, either is it a quest, or something you have to look for like scenes set up with skeletons, computer logs or random items.
Each location has something to tell to the player, but at the same time it leaves room for your imagination, which is oh so important in vidya, and too often games try to shove a story in your face so hard nowadays to the point where you dont care about it.
Its not morrowind tier either in terms of 'magic' but there is definitely something that I didnt feel in a long time, something that definitely wasnt in skyrim or fallout 3.

In fact it'll actually tell you which junk items are being converted when you're making weapon/armor mods.

In Skyrim there was a huge mountain in the middle of the province you had to climb early in the game's story. Todd pointed out the mountain in early demos and said "See that mountain? You can climb it!"
When the game launched retards tried to climb up every mountain and got pissed when, say, the border mountains were impassible, to keep you from leaving the game world.
Radiant AI was supposed to be about infinite replayability. So players that put hundreds or thousands of hours into one character would still have quests to do thanks to Radiant AI generating respawns and new quests and rewards. But they're all shit like "go fetch this book from this dungeon for me" or "go retrieve this sword for me" or "kill this bandit chief for me".
Again, retarded players tend to go "lmao radiant ai" every time the AI does something silly.

I think the crafting system is bugged. When you 'revert' (or take off the scope) from your hunting rifle, you have to 'pay' to craft the standard sight, which kinda defeats the purpose.
With that said, I can't get duplicates of the same rifles (with different mods attached) and salvage the mods to be put in one rifle without having to pay to revert all those mods to standard stock.

you can usually try to "craft" and then just quickly tab/cancel if it brings up requirements and you don't have a mod available, the only things you can "craft" for free back to stock are things like "no muzzle" or whatever

Try to always tie up your Power Armor rigs to a workbench when you aren't using them. I had two full sets of Power Armor, but I hadn't realized that only one is set to "your" armor, with the map cue and all.
As it turns out, people moving into your settlement will literally climb into your rig and just live in your extra suits. Now my local trader comes through town leading her two-headed pack mule with a full suit of Hot Rod painted, extra armor T-14. I'll probably murder her eventually to get it back, but yeah. Be warned.

I don't do the whole minecraft thing so I never run out of aluminum. I mostly just have issues with Adhesive like a motherfucker and I pick up ever duck tape, glue and starch I see like it's a fucking where's waldo game. Just highlight the missing component and hit "Track component" it'll show an icon on items that contain aluminum.
Another method for mass farming would be to get 5 intel and get the rank 1 scrapper perk. Then farm guns and salvage for easy aluminum.
