If you just put junk in your workshop resources instead of dropping them on the ground and scrapping them, you end up wasting a lot of resources. For example, if you have an item that has a screw and a spring, and you make an item that needs 1 screw, the item is destroyed and the spring is lost forever.

I think the real problem is that they've changed the pace. Fallout 3 starts off sending you to Megaton where you peacefully talk with the townsfolk, learn things and get a chance to use non-combat skills. Fallout New Vegas starts out similarly, but by the end of the tutorial you can pick between helping the townsfolk or the powder gangers. These aren't exactly slow starts, but they are controlled. In Fallout 4 the very first post-war people you see are raiders, and you're launched straight into an almost Bioshock Infinite like mission, shooting the place up with laser muskets and surrounded by 17th century imagery. After that? Straight into Power Armor and fighting a deathclaw. It never feels like you're playing an RPG.

The sneaking for the most part seems alright. I'm going to utilize it more on my female character. There was one mission that was actually pretty stealthy. A raider trys to trick you into falling for an ambush, and you're able to sneak around behind them to get the better advantage.

I don't get it. I have the Leader perk that says I can transfer crap between my settlements but when I dump all my junk into the red rocket and make beds there I can't use those beds or even the junk over at Sanctuary.

I've been trying to figure this out, because it's not especially clear in-game, but it looks like you just have to screw a faction over pretty directly to be 'locked' out of them, or commit to one and then change after that.
For example, even while pursuing what is ostensibly the 'Minuteman Route', the quest to go join the BoS remains open, either until a certain point in the Minuteman questline where they can no longer be joined or you start killing BoS soldiers.

I was but I gave it up after finding a legendary shotgun. The melee feels really bad and the gunplay feels way better than the previous fallouts. Every ghoul basic attack staggers you when you're trying to melee them and you end up getting stunlocked, and you end up taking way too much damage from simple shit like mole rats.

The supply lines are kind of fucked. I think you need to make one from the location you want the stuff to be brought from. I just picked up everything from sanctuary and walked it over to red rocket. Power armor helps too.

I find myself kinda not wanting to use it if only because fusion cores have been pretty rare so far and repairing the damn torso requires circuitry anyway. On top of that, most of the 'paint jobs' look like trash, especially Military where rather than a fairly solid olive drab colour or, in the T-51's case the classic green-silver combo, you get a vaguely green-tinted version of the rust shit.
And if there is a way for your followers to wear it, I haven't found it.

The Minutemen are YOUR faction, they'll say yes to anything you do even if you join the Institute. If you do join the Institute you won't get the Minutemen final mission and you will stop at defending the Castle.
If you join the Railroad and BoS the Minutemen wouldn't give two fucks either way.
BoS, Railroad and Institute can be done up to a certain point where you will need to pick one or the other.
