Lots of the streamers they gave access to play league and, since at high elo the queue times can be 10 minutes, the streamers play Overwatch in between queues simply because they get more viewers that way and I guess some of them find league more fun.

Getting in people's face without some sort of CC or protection is just asking to get killed. Winston can kind of do it because he can jump in then place the shield, so it protects him from anyone without it. If you're jumping in the middle of the enemy team you really want to have a way to disrupt them all, or you want to make sure nobody is looking at you (tanks can't do this).

There's almost no reason to pick him. His turrets are shit until fully upgraded and even then Pharah can sit back and wreck them safely.
