Mei's issue is that her basic attack is capable of stunning someone for a (relatively) long period of time. The worst part is that it stacks so two Meis can stun someone twice as fast.
You shouldn't have stuns associated with a character's basic attack. I understand if it slows but actually freezing someone in place after a second or two of sustained fire is just OP.

Seriously, they could release a bunch of cosmetics that are paid with cash and the game with a price tag that include all heroes/maps forever, that is a model that already works in some games (i.e. CS:GO), if they do release the game and then ask for more money for things you need, like maps and heroes, since they are relevant to the meta, expect a bunch of people to leave; or even worse, expect a lot of people to never even buy the game, because they don't know for certain whether they are paying for the full game forever or for the current version of it.

Additionally, almost every character has a skill that negates all positional mistakes. For example: caught on the ground as the rocketess Pharah? No problem, just press this easy button and you're instantly in the sky, where you're most effective.
Ran yourself into a bad spot as the fragile but swift Tracer? No problem, just press this easy button and you're instantly back where you were before.
Got caught in the open as the close-range slugger Reaper? Just press your invulnerability button and float over to a healthkit. You get this and many other movement tools completely free, there's nothing you give up for them, like sacrificing health with a rocket-jump.
The tools Overwatch gives you to solve problems are contained in a single, brainless button rather than a complex and difficult set of movements and/or offensive measures. The entire game revolves around identifying the correct rock-paper-scissors situation to press your button, then pressing it. There is no serious skill of any kind involved. You're going through the motions of what you think a video game entails.
The miniscule difference between a week-old Overwatch player and a year-old Overwatch player will be lost in the cloud of instakill ultimates, teleports and AOE abilities. This game is transcendentally shit, and there is no escape from it. This is the very profitable future of FPS. Hell. Population: you.

Blizzard are probably just porting it to console to make a few extra bucks, similar to what Valve did for TF2.

Makes sense until you consider that Overwatch is trying to pretend it's an FPS game, not a strategy game. All of the ways in which Overwatch is different from other real time strategy games (the camera, the pace, the lack of resources to fight over) are flaws.
Let's consider Overwatch's strategy merit compared to another the-player-controls-one-unit strategy game like DOTA. Each player has ~3 skills and an ultimate, so there's parity there.
But the camera perspective isn't top-down, it's first person. This makes zero sense for a strategy game and inhibits the player's ability to get an overall picture of what's going on. The controls also make it impossible for the player to ever control more than one unit, like they sometimes do in DOTA.
There are no map resources to fight over - as a strategy game, the only strategic element is the win condition. You cannot have such a lopsided 'strategy' game ever be interesting by its strategic merit.
Overwatch is shit as either an FPS game or a strategy game.

If I had to make any changes:

At the moment, she and Hanzo cannibalize each other. One of them needs to be the slow precision sniper, one needs to be the spammy sniper. At this moment, Hanzo is the latter while Widow is both.

There's a tonne of skill regarding the ults. Sure, clicking the button and getting kills doesn't always require skill, but it's much more than that.
Firstly, reacting to them is a massive deal. Sometimes you get a fraction of a second to react to an enemy ultimate so that you're not caught by it. You hear a "High Noon" shout, and you have to first identify where it's coming from, and then hide for cover or kill the McCree. The McCree has to decide when to actually fire his ultimate. If he gives too much time then people will get behind cover but if he waits he may be able to take out another person.
Pharah ult is a press Q to deal damage, but where you use that ultimate is incredibly important. A widowmaker can take an ulting pharah out almost instantly meaning the ult does no damage, but we all know how incredibly powerful a well placed Pharah ult can be. I've seen Reaper ults go to complete waste while others decimate an entire team.
Even Widowmaker's ult has an element of skill to it. WidowMaker herself probably benefits the most from having the wallhack on, but maybe you've just spawned and you have to decide if you would rather give your ult to your team. You need to know what they are doing and if it's going to be useful or not. The decision can be game changing.
A Mercy ult, while overpowered is stupidly difficult to time. If you resurrect too early, some more team members may die but if you resurrect late, players may have expired already, not to mention you can die before you res. If the enemy gets a better resurrect than you do, your team is done for.
I think we can all agree that the worst waifu is d.va, even the nigger sisters are better.

Knowing exactly when to use your ults separates good players from bad ones and using your ultimate to its maximum effect separates good players from great ones.
The problem is, people think that the greatest skill in a game comes from aiming, which simply isn't what a game should be because in reality, aiming isn't actually very skillful itself. It's a single mechanic that people have refined over the years. This game is very well rounded. You NEED to be able to aim, but you also NEED to have perfect positioning and you NEED to have top cooldown management. Your decision making needs to be flawless and you have to constantly work with your team and be aware of what they are doing.
Honestly, if you're worried about the lack of skill required in this game, then you're only focusing on a single aspect of it. You're not winning this game simply by moving your mouse onto a player slightly better than your opponent does, it doesn't work like that I'm afraid. This is why this game has the potential to become one of the best and challenging games in eSports to date. Be excited.

His primary attack is actually not too easy to use.
He gets the most work out of his deflection ability. Essentially, attacking him is a matter of careful timing or pulling off a flanking maneuver (or shooting him from such range that he's dead before he's aware of you). If you see a Genji on the enemy team it's a good idea to move in twos, so that one of you can get around him while he rushes the other with deflection up.
Also, Lucio and Mei shit all over him. Reinhardt can fuck him pretty bad too, as will Winston when they finally buff his mall-cop taser.
He's very good at what he does, which is duel isolated motherfuckers and occasionally go on a dragonblade enhanced killing spree. But he does that one thing, and he's not invulnerable at all.

Tracer is actually better at killing multiple enemies unless Genji has his ult. She's also better at striking, pulling out, and coming back for more. Genji is very all-or-nothing in his playstyle. He flanks around, he goes in for the kill, and generally he stays stuck in at that point. Tracer is a constant harasser. She pops in, kills a dude, rewinds back, and she's ready to do it again soon enough.
Genji has a higher chance of slicing his way through multiple dudes on a single attack run. Tracer has a higher chance of surviving and coming back.

The only thing Tracer has over Genji is zipping in, throwing out her ult and recalling. That's really effective and Genji has nothing like that.

She's more survivable if you know how to use her.
This comes down more to the situations in which these characters are expected to engage more than anything else. Genji is not really the same kind of flanker at all. He's there to hit really hard from an unexpected angle. Tracer is there to pick people off (unless she has her ult) and vanish.
He's definitely not better at killing people, by the way. His throwing stars are harder to use than they look and his dash requires coordination with your team most of the time if you want to pull it off a few times. Tracer's pistols murder people faster than he does. What Genji has is that he can build momentum in the midst of battle, whereas Tracer is basically about knowing when to pull out.
Tracer is harder to use but has a higher skill ceiling IMO.

The overall design of D.Va is perplexing on so many levels, too. What new is she supposed to contribute? Yet another young, thin, conventionally pretty woman in a catsuit… something the game (and the industry as a whole) so totally lacked before! Even her silly pseudonym rubs in that she’s a diva.
The idea of a Korean professional gamer-turned-mecha pilot is very cool (even if the backstory rips off Evangelion/Pacific Rim), but why make her look so generic… and paint her mech pink?
My most optimistic guess: one of many Blizzard’s Creepy Marketing Guys saw Zarya and said “So, we’re doing female tanks now? Okay, but next one is gonna be the SEXY tank! And make her more PINK!”

Well I only ever made up a backstory, never a complete move set for tge irish girl. Well since her hands are basicly Omni hands she can break through and even damage Reinharts armor.
So I suppose she'd be faster than most classes, have a short dash a bit like tracer. but shorter and can burn through them quickly (5 charges) she can hit the air so fast that she can shoot a condensed pocket of heated air at enemies at about mid range, though she's more of an in your face class being able to hit multiple times per attack. Though at the cost of some health because her body is still only human.
Lastly her ult would be bringing a few enimies into a whirlwhind of strikes named the Donnybrook. But it leaves her with only a small ammount of health.

I didn't say it's overpriced, I'm going to buy it at $40, but if they add a bunch of heroes that outclass the old heroes (which they will, it's just inevitable by the very nature of having to design "new and interesting" heroes that you end up with power creep) and require $10 each or a grind or something, then I'll just move on, that's all.
