She makes some pretty solid points, however I think it's implied in the end that it was not really Max that caused the storm, but Chloe. At least in the most direct sense.
You could say that Max using her powers saves Chloe, and thereby allows the storm to happen, so then it is indirectly Max's fault. But ultimately it is Chloe that actually causes the storm somehow by being alive when she shouldn't be. I don't know, maybe it's splitting hairs, but seems like Chloe is the one that is directly responsible somehow.

Another point I forgot, I can't remember if it was from today or yesterday.
The squirrels are related to Samuel. This much has always been obvious. But I think the dev implied that they're sort of keeping watch over everything. They implied that they were highlighting the squirrels by having an optional photograph of one in every episode. Then the co-streamer commented something like "could you say that the squirrels represent Dontnod watching over the player?" and he laughed and agreed, mostly jokingly.
It doesn't exactly clear anything up, but this, along with the dev's other comments about Samuel, implies that there is more going on than we might thing. Whether you believe it or not is another case all together.

As angry as I was after the finale, I was really willing to give the devs a break and hear their side of it, but everything that's come from them since has been so fucking disheartening.
I seriously just don't trust them at all anymore. I'm done. I know when something's pissed me off but will have me crawling back for more, and I know something's burned me to where I just won't return to it. I was really hoping this wouldn't be the case, but I just know now that I won't return for season 2, it's just not going to happen. It's a sad feeling.

The problem with the ending is not that it's intrinsically bad, it's more that they changed it half way in, and so it doesn't sit well on top of the rest of the story and causes plot holes, inconsistencies, and other bullshit. But if they had been planning it that way all along, it probably could have worked a lot better.
Maybe the other plans they had were just actually so stupid that they decided to hit the brakes, and even causing plot holes would have been better than their original retarded idea. Or maybe it could have been awesome. Fact is we'll just never know, but again, grass is always greener.

Bro/sis, I feel this word for word. Literally. I know that we have every reason not to trust them, and I'm still so angry and bitter over everything, and yet I'm so desperate for just anything. From a DLC to an off-hand comment in an interview or something, I just need more. I can't let it go and I won't for a very long time because I consider it my favorite game. I'm surprised as to how I can be so angry and disappointed and yet call it my favorite game. It adds to my frustration.
I also don't want a new cast. I feel like it'd ruin the individuality and uniqueness of the first season to turn this into a series, with a new cast every season or something. It won't be Life Is Strange: the story of Max and Chloe, but their story will be one of several. And yet all I want is more content and if that's a second season, I'd be one of the very first to put my money forward.
But yeah, 100% agreed. It ended so poorly and it hurts so much after 10 months of pure investment. It's like a catharsis that was built for 10 months and then there was absolutely nothing, and you're stuck waiting for that emotional release in any manner that you can get it.

Exactly, I think that's the point. Max has been there for Chloe and been her rock throughout the entire game. Now Chloe is holding Max's hand and allowing her to cry on her shoulder while she stares on and tries to be strong for Max. And on the drive out when Max is hanging her head, again, Chloe is there for her with a gentle touch and a smile to help support her. She's returning the favor to her best friend who was always there for her by being her emotional support in her time of need.
Of course Chloe must have her own conflicted feelings about what happened, but she knows she has to be strong for Max.
I think it pretty much tells us everything that we really need to know about their relationship at that point, but it's just done through subtle gestures and behaviors rather than giving us cutscenes and dialogue that spell it all out. I think it's okay, for what it is.

Liam and Matt finalethey took the bae ending. Matt isn't to happy with it he feels it drops the ball on a lot of plot stuff. Liam loved the nightmare sequence also said the ending was weak and didn't stick the landing.

Yeah, this is how I feel too. It was way too subtle for a first playthrough, just left you feeling like 'what, that's it? it's over?'
But after revisiting it after we've had time for things to sink in, it actually started to feel kind of satisfying in its own way. Their relationship is there, the emotions are on point. It's just missing too much, too ambiguous.
But a finale should really feel satisfying the first time you play it though, that's where it really counts.

In full agreement with this. What they've done is leave it up to the players to find a catharsis and work to get satisfaction from the narrative, when it should be properly provided to the player. There's some really sad endings out there, but they're satisfying and complete the narrative. This just...didn't. It could be worse, but it was so flat. We shouldn't have to revisit it numerous times to finally be like "well, I think I'm finally starting to feel it as satisfying...in it's own way..."
