I was the scientist that showed up to fight after the miner. You can breathe just fine in the room without a suit, and my excavation suit had no melee protection, so I took my suit off to duel naked and hopefully have my speed advantage from no hardsuit and hyperzine help me in the fight. You know, Dark Souls style hit and run tactics.
Not sure how effective it was because I still died, but it was fun.

The halls were closed off with firelocks, it was a tight spot and I was trying to stand to the side and out of the way as much as possible, as there was no other place to stand. I wasn't even protecting him, I even fucking shot him with a laser a couple of times. If you are going to shoot a shotgun in the halls don't miss.
