You're fine. You need to accept that you may lose some heroes, but if you have experience with enemy types, you'll be alright. Get everyone to resolve six by doing exclusively Ruins runs, then move on to the others. Don't do Cove missions unless you need to remind yourself.

I'm new to Champ too. Here's what I learned after two runs
>Pig centaur will try to get to the back rank and when he does OH BOY LOOK OUT so if you have some way to push stuff behind him or pull him forward, that will help
>Bone generals can AOE stun (with pretty solid damage 7-10) EVERYONE in your party from EVERY RANK, don't even bother moving them around. They don't have great stun resist though so that's a good way to keep them busy while you work.
