Goldie's Timeless album is pretty great, if a bit of an aquired taste.

Boss 3. This tunnel snake is a tremendous asshole, and I can't hit him unless he's below me for the fraction of a second I can hit him. I haven't died so far because I'm so powered up nothing can hit me through the bullet spam and the orbs, but that'll change soon enough.

#5. Some sort of giant zombie fish thing. I flew from the left to the right, spamming bullets the entire path.
It got fucking destroyed so quickly this was the only screenshot I got of it. It's a muddy mess, but so was the boss fight so I guess that's a pass.

#6. Some giant women, had a pitiful triple bullet attack and spammed red homing blobs that died in a shot. If I wasn't powered up to the max, the blobs might have been a problem, but I had huge homing rockets every other bullet wiping them out.
So far so good, but I fear the moment I die and lose all these powerups, 2 more deaths will swiftly follow and I'll ragequit out of spite.

Maybe it did more, but who knows. You can't shoot another bullet unless there isn't one on the screen, so getting close to this guy and hammering 'shot' causes you to just rip anything to a thousand pieces.

Ok, so this stage was absolute bullshit. I died twice, so there go my lives.
Fireballs that never stop chasing you. If 5 of them touch, it becomes a ghost that can't die.
Laser walls from a previous stage, only 10000x more douchy because of the vertical nature of the game now
Giant skulls that explode into tiny embryo things. Those tiny things can't be killed, and if they touch your ship they disable your ability to shoot.
At one point, its a several giant skulls, then some fireballs, while dealing with a new threat, giant crusher plates on the left and right, giving you about a nanosecond of time to get between it all.
On top of all this bullshit, the boss himself uses those fireballs as well, and you need to kill all 5 portions of him. The only reason I didn't game over it when you spam your 'shot' enough, the game slows down because it can't handle all the bullshit, giving me plenty of time to dodge carefully.
Fuck this entire stage.

Abadox defeated. Total lives lost, 22. The game itself is bullshit, with me having to rely almost entirelly on inviciblity frames and the slowdown from spamming bullets, and the bosses are piss easy.
At the end, they make you run a gauntlet from the beginning to the end of the game levels, speeding up as you go. One touch of the walls and you die, but I got lucky by hugging the top walls and barely moving.
Another bullshit thing, is that the walls kill you, but then they give you a ton of powerups that increase movement speed, in tiny fucking hallways that demand precision movement. I wouldn't have made it past level 3 if I didn't start avoiding "S" powerups.

I bought a candle and found some underground passages. There were some orange colored items here, couldn't tell what they were, but I collected them. They don't even appear on the "hud" for some reason.
Also, candles run out and if you try to buy an item for a second time, the shops charge you double the original price, Fucking Japs.

I restarted the game and found two "bills" in these caves. Some of the caves seem to spawn randomly, I think. Two of them are available whenever I have a candle on me though. I also found out that killing the geisha enemies actually causes me to lose gold.
I paid 100 gold to get some rest, but I don't know if it did anything.

I'm back. This is the spot where I lost last time. That enemy patrols the entire platform at a fast pace and can only be damaged if you hit the head. Takes multiple shots to kill it as well. I'm going to try using some arrow gas to extend the platform and kill it.

Played through the intro stage. It's a platformer (of course), but the B button makes balloons. You can press B plus a direction to throw one any way you want, and it has a slight arc. It's pretty intuitive actually, a lot like throwing items in Super Smash Bros., except diagonal works too. You can press down to just set one at your feet and bounce off of it like an enemy, popping it. If you want to, you can hold it down to inflate it a bit. Not sure what that does exactly, probably just more damage, but more importantly you can slow your fall with it. I like it so far but we'll see where this goes.
