Wasn't done yet. Fucker killed me once with his unpredictable fire breath, didn't realize he was going to do that.
He fell into the same issue many of the bosses do though: You can stunlock them. The game seems to realize this, as it makes your sword fly out of your hand and to the corner of the screen where you need to get it back after each attack. If you're quick though you can still get each attack in before they start their next.
With Mad Monk for instance if you don't attack him on the platform, but stand on it and attack him when he jumps instead he'll only use his easily dodged (except the first time) earthquake attack. Mad Monk and Green Grub were the highlights of the game.
