It was a bit of a weird thing, I wasn't upset about that being removed, what pissed me off was one of the updates fucked up the charge rate and made it to where getting charges took forever. A few updates later they adjusted it, made the charge rate better overall and a few other things, all in all making it arguably better than it's ever been. I feel like where it is right now is good, I just don't want them to mess with it anymore because they might make it useless again.

I don't remember the other mediguns being affected, but I pretty much only ever use the vaccinator and don't play as much. I just don't want them to fuck up the vaccinator again, that's the main reason I still enjoy TF2 so much, I'm one of maybe 10 people that even use that weapon a lot.

I'm exaggerating when I say that, it's just that I've played a lot of TF2 and in the whole time I've used vaccinator, which was around the first time it came out, I hardly ever see anyone use, let alone anyone use it effectively. I've used it almost exclusively since it first came out, it made Medic 10 times more fun for me and it fits me and my pockets playstyle to a T.

I'm pretty excited with the update but aside from the whole competitive play business (which I don't really care about especially since it's 6vs6), there's a couple of questions I wanna ask:
1.) How long is this update? How many days will it last?
2.)We can still search and join valve servers in the servers menu right or is the Casual mode the only norm now?
3.) Is the rebalancing of weapons and characters apply to all or just some specific classes?
4.)Aside from rebalancing some things, does the update gives us new weapons?

2)Probably. Although in the case they decided to convert all of the servers to that you could still use your server browser to go pubstomp a skial server or something.
3)Probably most of the classes will be a bit rebalanced, as happened in the though break update. But most of the changes will happen to the current underpowered classes for comp, those being pyro, heavy, and maybe spy.
4)Every X vs Y update has given us some weapons. Who knows, we'll see what happens tomorrow. Don't be surprised if we didn't get them though. Valve is probably focusing on balancing the existing ones first.

For me it's more of a weapon designed for pocketing than just general use. It can be effective in just general play, but to really take advantage of strengths and downplay it's weaknesses it really helps to have someone you can communicate with who knows how to play with a vaccinator attached to them. It's a lot harder to use than any other medigun, you need to get used to switching on a dime, to recognize what damage resistance to shield. The person you're vaccing needs to know how to capitalize on charges, the charges only last for 2.5s, you've got to try to eliminate or escape the threat in 1 or 2 charges max if at all possible. Have to know when to avoid fights if there's a lot of damage types. I'd say the strongest thing of all to learn is situational awareness for both the medic and whoever you're vaccing. If you're not sticking to one person you might be better off with another medigun.

Likely every class will have weapons be rebalanced (i.e. shit like the crit-a-cola needs nerfing and other items need buffing), with some classes themselves receiving balance changes directly (i.e. the off-classes such as Spy, Pyro, Heavy, Engie will likely be the ones to receive changes. Sniper is already a very common off-class, and borderline core in some cases, so he won't receive any).

Heavy and Pyro are the two classes with the lowest skill level, and I expect both of them to get massive buffs/retools with this update.

I suspect spy will still get some buffs/reworkings though. He received quite a lot in Gun Mettle so they're clearly open to the idea. I wouldn't be surprised if every off-class save for sniper received buffs/reworkings to be more 6v6 friendly (since sniper is very common in 6v6 so he already is 6v6 friendly). Heavy and Pyro will likely receive the biggest focus since they're the ones asked about a lot, and spy's already had his versus update.

If any of these classes are going to get touched, all of them combined should get a change in how they works to not create an almost pointless balance change if at the end the game will still turn around: scouts, soldiers, demos, medics, snipers and sentryorgies in pubs.
Grab any of them and eliminate all the other and think if they are going to be significantly less usefull just because the other does not exist.
You don't to see enemy demos on the opposite team to consider scouts viable.
You don't to see sentries or anything especific at all in the enemy team to consider a soldir a bad choice.
You don't to see sentries in the enemy team to justify using a demoman.
You don't need almost nothing (both in your team or in the enemy team) to considere using a medic in the team (being surronded by people who can't aim for shit and don't know how to take advantaje of the uber does not count since that is just bad players in general).
You don't need to see a Medic on the enemy team to think that you could achieve anything as a sniper. Let's remove the concept of overheal since in both team you would have overhealed snipers with razorback anyway. Even when it's less usefull overall in comparison to other classes, he is still fucking good if slighly protected.
And sentry nests can be a fucking chore to deal with in the last part of some maps.
This does not really apply to the other classes, making them being OP in comparison but at the same time needed to counter eachoter.

I just want to make a clarification and a tl;dr.
I'm not complaining that any of those especific classes should have a counter nor anything like that, I'm just saying that the game is so favorable toward those classes that there is no way to change a single one of them without changing the other directly and in the end, it the current state of the game, it will still turn around any of the classes that don't get noticiably touched in the balance change.
You need to move all other classes to the level of these ones to create a faster game, or lower all of them to the rest of the options to create a weaker, slower game since they would get overall nerfed anhd shit like using the classes IN-VERY-ESPECIFIC circumstances is not going to change anyway.

I think they worded the whole page like shit or maybe I'm just stupid. I still don't know if you can go into competitive without using phone(ib4 not having a phone blah, blah)if you've spend at least 10$ into the game; I think there was a way to see how much money you've spend in a especific game, but I don't it count thing exclusivibly outside of the community market or not because I did not follow any of that. Another thing is that is kind of vague how they worded the public comp stuff, so some people might thing that pubs are going to be changed instead of being granted another way to play them. I'm not sure about any of those things, but I highly doubt they will change pubs that much; maybe it's just another way to play with removing the old one.

Soldier is balanced as far as stock and gunboats goes.
He has very long reload times and no staying power. Gunboats makes it very difficult for him to fight scouts, kill retreating enemies, or kill groups without dying in the process.
Slow as shit without rocket jumps which burn through a quarter of his of health not including fall damage. No escape plan or whip makes retreating impossible if you don't have rockets or health to do so.
He has 50:50 matchups with everyone but he doesn't hard counter anything either.
Soldier himself is balanced it's his unlocks that are the problem.

Demo is the only odd one out who is only countered by the other two combat classes. Ideally pyro should give him a hard time, maybe that will be the case with his buffs.

But you need to be aware of what happens to the number, if anything happens to it you could get banned. Also, you could've spend waaay more than 10$ on the game and still need to pay to paly like that, putting new players at an advantage in terms of money needed to play (if they don't want the phone alternative) even if they have spend less in the game overall. It's not about changing the meta, it's about keeping the gamemode fast paced and intense. Let's be honest heavy is not hard to shoot people with and he doesn't really have any advanced movement he needs to learn either. He just exists to stop players from moving through the air or attacking the medic.
If you want to shake up 6s add weapons to the core 4 that aren't fucking retarded. Medic desperately needs unlocks. Demo needs something that isn't a fucking sword or shield. Scout needs primaries and secondaries that aren't just dumb gimmicks.

Yeah, I wanted to mention the difference between what you could see in pub setting and comp focused setting mainly because of the scout, but I did not wanted to make too big, especially not with the post count of this thread. Soldier can still be good at dealing damage to heavies in teamplay but you couldn't do things like jumping them or going solo against them even if you take the fight with splash damage and taking advantaje of corners. That's why I said that he can still be viable without saying that he is still going to good at everything. Even on comps, scounts can't do much in the last part of almos every map unless the sentries are dealt with, that's why I mentioned the change would really affect what happens in espeficic escenarios. Pyro and heavy are the ones with more potential to change things up, but at that point might as well change spy too. Demo deal too much damage imo. Stickies should work like the LnL and deal less damage against building or something. They are not even hard to aim.

Damage dealing is his job he makes opening for his team to work off of. Also since the radius nerf in high level play demo has been doing less DPM on average than soldiers and scouts. If he didn't have utility with sticky traps he would be underpowered.
