I sort of like how Sigma's dialogue is serious and old-mannish. A far cry from the goofing in VLR.
You can feel the age in the writing.
Pretty neat.

I really like the prologue written in the artbook. I think I would've liked the game more if we had seen those scenes in the game either at the beginning or through flashbacks. Actually Uchikoshi probably would've been better by just making Zero Time Dilemma a book in the first place

Thank you, I was trying to clear this up because I've just realized something quite crazyalthough it wouldn't surprise me it's been posted before or if there might be something ingame that debunks it.In this game, every decision is implied to be the work of Delta but there was one major instance that makes it clear "?" actually had some bearing with what's going on.
In Q ending 1 we know that we can shoot Delta and kill him but this decision isn't something Delta Mind Hack's Q into doing because it clearly surprises him and Q even apologizes before shooting as if somebody else was controlling him. So doesn't this ending technically prove that "?" can Mind Hack? Not just Delta?

Just finished it. Considering the obvious massive budget constraints Kotaro was under with the small team and deadline, plus the fact that this game was nearly never made, it was pretty fucking solid.
I've got minor gripes like how on earth the moral implications of shifting can be a final decision that matters when they had been fucking shifting constantly the entire game without a care. No Alice and Clover whatsoever, and no Kyle as well was a bit head scratching, but I'm sure their fates will be explained in an FAQ by Kotaro himself like for the other games.

Laser puzzle wasn't so hard once I got a hint to start with the yellow laser. Heart puzzle was cancer though. So many setups where it's almost perfect but with a few pieces leftover, meaning you have to start over again.
It frustrated me so much that after finally succumbing to looking up the solution I gave up on the whole remainder of the room and finished it as fast as possible.
Everything else I figured out myself though. Except technically the specimen puzzle where I just brute forced the order because I completely blanked on the hint.
Transporter room was fun though. I got pretty close to figuring out the numbers on my first try through logical deductions and only needed to make a few corrections once I actually got the hints.

So Mira is there as clean-up and to spread Rad-6. Eric is there to go ballistic with the shotgun after Mira dies. None of the other cast members are really that batshit crazy sans Junpei, and Akane when Junpei dies, and even then those two aren't as eager to fly off the handle. Eric's PTSD is triggered on two fronts when by the death of his girlfriend and the strangulation. You can't really get a better loose cannon than him, and he did his job just as well as Mia. He turned normally safe situations that were achieved through communication and teamwork into life or death scenarios due to his own trauma.

I really didn't like her. I felt like she was there for the sake of creating deaths because nobody else would, and she ended up being.. Exactly how she appeared from the trailers, and nothing more.

But when Sigma returns to the past after VLR, he's already taken part in the Decision game and lost his arms/eye.
So the events of ZTD are the same as the history of VLR, right? So if the end where Radical-6 escapes is canon to VLR, why doesn't Akane know about it there?
If it's not canon, and is only a case of "unavoidable fate" despite the involved players being different, then given only one timeline leads to the VLR future, isn't it not as big a threat as it was made out to be?

Honestly, the only evidence you would have to remove would be modifications that would connect Delta to the scene, which wouldn't be much. Files, Radical-6, and a few other modifications, maybe a few machines which have no other purpose other than killing someone.
