Darksiders 1 is more or less a LoZ clone with Manowar stylization, Darksiders 2 is fetchquests galore but with DMC-lite combat, both are alright and worth a playthrough.
Borderlands 1 is okay if you can get a friend to play with, and Secret Armory of General Knoxx is a good expack, but BL2 is shit.

Crysis is really solid, I can definitely recommend it. Graphics still looks great as well.
Alien isolation is one of the better games of this kind so if you like horror then go for it. However, if you like puzzles in your horror and don't mind older graphics then I would suggest the penumbra series(2>1>>>3).

I've heard that the game is more or less a hack and slash with mediocre strategy segments in between, the latter of which were absent in the original demos that soured the game for many people. I'm nearing 500 hours and have yet only completed the game a few times. It's good, it's a blend of rogue-lite, rpg and tower defense. Only gripes I had with it were that it's a tiny bit too RNG and it takes too long to get through one run(which when combined can get nasty because you can get fucked by rng in last stage which is not uncommon and not pleasant), and the progression isn't well balanced i.e. I have unlocked most of the heroes before I even unlocked the third game mode. But it's fun anyways, I clocked like 30 hours in it already and i still play from time to time.

It's not bad if you know what you're getting into; it's a weird mix of tower defense, rpg and "rougelite". The biggest problem is that it can get extremely unfair at times; what was a perfect run would be abruptly ended because the game decided to throw an army of end game units at you that go through your towers and crew within seconds. I've unlocked a lot of the characters (just recruit them and go through a couple of floors with them) before I've even finished one playthrough. It's a solid game and somehow manages to make multiple game types work together, but expect to lose a shitton.

As a game, Bully is amazing. In regards to the PC port, I'd call it serviceable at worst; graphics settings are limited to resolution, anti-aliasing, shadow quality (on highest settings, shadows are still just splotches), and VSync. It is also capped at 30FPS, however there is an uncapped EXE with a few issues; some missions become unwinnable, most notably the snowball one, and the game will run at double speed above 120FPS. The game only crashed on me twice; once when I turned on Vsync for the first time, and once when I did the Biology class for the first time, the latter resulting in a BSOD. I am using Windows 8.1.

Depends on how much time you plan on spending on it. Torchlight feels better starting off, and will be more fun in the first 10 hours or so, but it doesn't have any real staying power. PoE is a bit more bland but it's more fun in the long run and has much better multiplayer support due to being an online-only game.
